Can't miss if you can swing it

My only caveat is the price. IMO it's delicious and can't miss but I found it a bit expensive. Short ribs hash with poached eggs and they knock it out of the park. Great coffee and a lively atmosphere. You will learn to love humanity with the proximity and number of them here.

Very cute little place in the West Villiage. My friend and I stumbled onto it after visiting the legendary Perry Street. Hostess was lovely, food good. Service, not so much. The staff on the day we were there all seemed more interested in talking to one another than serving. Whether this is the norm, I have n clue, but whilst... More

I enjoyed dinner here with some friends and felt the food was just ok, but the cocktails were great. In fact, the cucumber cooler cocktail was one of the most refreshing summer drinks I have ever had. I would absolutely go back just to enjoy a few of these at the bar. The food was a little hit or miss.... More

Went for dinner on a weeknight in July. Service, food and drinks were awesome, but our favorite aspect was the quaint neighborhood feel of the restaurant. Great place!

We went once for drinks and once for lunch recently. The staff was very attentive and efficient. Simply super neighborhood restaurant. Can't wait to go back.

A sweet little neighborhood restaurant. The kale gratin was delicious. Nice, quiet service and intimate setting. If you want a unique New York experience, then go!

Heard amazing things about this place and left on an average note. Atmosphere is great, but the food is just sub par. Nothing amazing or memorable. If your looking for a place with friends and to just relax, come here. Ice cream is great though and you can't go wrong with the West Village. However there are many other restaurants... More

Close to Meatpacking, unpretentious, good food and great people-watching - lots of locals as well as tourists. Do not be offended if they tell you it is 20 minutes wait – this place is very popular, especially during lunch hours, take a stroll in the lovely neighborhood and come back. I recommend this place to all my friends, and both... More

We met my sister and nephew for lunch at Cafe Cluny. What a unique little place! The menu was inventive, and everything was delicious. I had a dish called Artichokes Barigoule, with Roasted Turnips, White Miso, Meyer Lemon, Affilia Cress. I can't begin to describe it, but it was a salad in a warm lemon dressing with artichoke hearts. I've... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
