Great Service

As we entered the restaurant, the hostess asked I was the one who called about available space for 6 guests. I said it was me, and low and behold she had a table waiting without a reservation and not even asking. Wow, that was a great gesture to go ahead and have a table set for us, my guests... read more

Pleasant spring evening was too nice for inside. Sidewalk dining at it's finest. Started with wedge salad followed by a monster rib-eye. (surprised?) Side of creamed spinach and I was in heaven. Service was excellent. This is one to try.

Looked up the reviews of this place when we got back to the UK so we arrived with no preconceptions. Very lucky with the weather and were able to sit outside (with a view of the Empire State Building). The waiters were very aloof and disinterested and I must say that we found the whole experience less than good. My... More

Steaks here are of very high quality and they are "BIG" so make sure you have got an appetite. Altough being a steak house the seafood starters are a real recomendation and prepairing for a heavy steak relatively light service was excellent and recomendations of the staff spot on prices a bit o nthe high side but he this is... The minestrone soup was bland and the bread was flavorless. Boring bread in New York City? Don't get it.

Went into this restaurant on St Patrick's day by chance. Great welcome and fantastic service in busy restaurant. Had 16 onz between 2 of us. Best steak we have had anywhere. Next time in New York will be back. Can't wait.

There were really no surprises here. It is a steak house and it is expensive. But the food quality was very good and it was a nice experience. Not to loud, comfortable, nice wine list. I had the scallops which had a great flavour. My friend had a steak. He's very particular about his steak and enjoyed it, so to... More

Came here for restaurant week, seated promptly with our 8:00 reservation. Price fixe dinner for $ 38.00 included appetizer, sirloin steak dinner with potatoes and veg, and dessert / coffee. Good value. This is your typical high end NYC steakhouse. The meal was awesome, and the wait staff couldn't do enough for us. The host even came to our table... More

Have to agree with review below this one, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. We had a drink at the bar before sitting at our table, and our bartender couldn't have been more disinterested when we tried to exchange a couple pleasantries. However, the raw oysters on the half shell we got at the bar were among... More
