Attentive service, good food!

There were really no surprises here. It is a steak house and it is expensive. But the food quality was very good and it was a nice experience. Not to loud, comfortable, nice wine list. I had the scallops which had a great flavour. My friend had a steak. He's very particular about his steak and... read more

Steaks here are of very high quality and they are "BIG" so make sure you have got an appetite. Altough being a steak house the seafood starters are a real recomendation and prepairing for a heavy steak relatively light service was excellent and recomendations of the staff spot on prices a bit o nthe high side but he this is... The minestrone soup was bland and the bread was flavorless. Boring bread in New York City? Don't get it.

Came here for restaurant week, seated promptly with our 8:00 reservation. Price fixe dinner for $ 38.00 included appetizer, sirloin steak dinner with potatoes and veg, and dessert / coffee. Good value. This is your typical high end NYC steakhouse. The meal was awesome, and the wait staff couldn't do enough for us. The host even came to our table... More

Have to agree with review below this one, I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. We had a drink at the bar before sitting at our table, and our bartender couldn't have been more disinterested when we tried to exchange a couple pleasantries. However, the raw oysters on the half shell we got at the bar were among... More

After looking through the other reviews of this restaurant I was surprised at how bad an experience I had. In fact a little shocked. People talked up the food and experience quite a bit and I just did not have the same experience. I went to Ben & Jack's for the first time for the Taste of Magic event they... More

We come to NYC at least once a yeR for Westminster Dog Show and always make a point to dine at Ben and Jacks. This time it's Valentines Day and they are very busy! However we have had exceptional service and wonderful food. Best scallops and best sea bass ever! (Yes this is a steak place but the seafood is... More

We ordered the house steak for two and made the mistake of adding too many side dishes. The steaks were excellent, especially the mignon, but we were somewhat over faced by the volume. Excellent attentive service.
