After my family traveled to Ellis Island, we decided to eat at this restaurant since it was right on the Hudson River. Beautiful scenery!! However, the food and experience was horrible. We only ordered water for our drinks & mine had a fly in it and bread crumbs. Waiting to get a refill for water, he never came back until... More

As part of my job, I find venues to host my Agencies Summer and Holiday parties! Battery Gardens has been an amazing venue to work with. There are about 900-1000 employees and partners in NYC. Sometimes we have multiple smaller events and sometimes we do a larger and a few small events. Over the past 7 years we have hosted... More

My mum and i have just been into this establishment to see if we could get coffee and a light lunch. We have been appauled at the attitude of the two members of staff who greeted us ( or didnt as the case may be!!) - my mum asked if they were serving coffee , to which the waiter dismissively... My Husband and I just got married at Battery Gardens Last Sunday October 19th and besides it being beautiful and everyone raving about how amazing the food is....it could not have gone smoother and without one mistake thanks to one coordinator MICHELE CAVALLERO. Listen, I was an event coordinator at a luxury boutique hotel in Soho so i know first... More

Worst experience ever.. host and waiter with severe attitude problems... we walked into the restaurant and asked the host for patio (outdoor) seating.. instead of escorting us to our table the host simply rudely pointed the direction we should go to get to the patio...then there was the waiter, eager to take our order in a second (even though there... The restaurant is lovely, and is located in Battery Park with a view of the Statue of Liberty. That said, it was a disappointment. My four friends and I wanted to share a few pizzas and a salad. They don't have a salad large enough to share and couldn't make us one. The waiter (a very nice fellow) told us... More

Slow service but great view. Our pizzas were certainly thin and crispy! Very expensive, service charge of 20% added to the bill compulsory. Poor value, poor food, don't bother is my advise.

Recently attended a wedding there and I have to say it was the best wedding I've ever been to. The sun was setting in the background during the ceremony; the food was amazing and plentiful and the views from where the cocktail hour and the reception area were just breathtaking.

We arrived to find there was a wedding going on, so we were sent to the outside seating. The view was gorgeous, including the Statue of Liberty, but it looked like rain any minute. Fortunately, it held off til we were finished. Salads and salmon were excellent, but the tomato soup was very spicy. The pana cotta dessert was delicious.... More
