Very upscale and not for a young crowd. Walked in after happy hour with my tie undone and was told i cold not sit in the dining room without a jacket. I had mine in my bag, so i put that on, but they offered to lend me one( which i found quite weird). A server named Roberto was quite... read more

I was in midtown during restaurant week and I decided to take my daughters to dinner. We reviewed many menus of various restaurants and were quite impressed with Le Cirque's restaurant week dinner menu. One of my daughter's is celiac and my other daughter is sensitive to it: so their menu impressed them (risotto) Shan was our server and he... More

We visited Le Cirque for lunch. We had the 3-course Pre-Fixe Lunch for $38. They allowed me to substitute two appetizers and skip the desert. The portions were large and delicious. Service was very attentive. Will definitely return.

Once, at any of its previous locations, this was one of the city's top restaurants. It wasn't just that the food was good. You were treated as welcome guests, even if you weren't a regular or celebrity. Unfortunately, I no longer recommend eating here. The attitude of the staff is snobbish. The waiters push food on you if you only... More

Call me old fashioned, but I love an elegant restaurant with a low noise level, where you can carry on a conversation without shouting or straining to hear. Couple that with an outstanding menu, a fabulous wine list and attentive service, and I am very happy. LeCirque is an amazing experience, one which is slowly disappearing nationwide, and regrettably so.... More

Went with a groupd of 8 for the Restaurante week menu and we all left with a big smile! With a large group we had a chance to ordere basically everything on the RW menu and no one had anything bad to say. The dessert by far was the best part the Creme Brulee was everything it was said to... More

I was teaching at a conference...three full days of work followed by dinner and theater. Le Cirque was a place I had wanted to get to, and with the Restaurant Week menu, there were no more excuses! I had the terrific Le Cirque salad, a terrific roasted chicken, and a special s'mores dessert. We even got to have a bit... More

It has been quite a while since I had dined here so when the opportunity arose last week I was excited. Even better is that it was Restaurant Week in New York. The physical plant remains beautiful as does the presentation of the food. The taste if our dishes were just good nothing special. The major issue is that the... More

sitting at the bar in a restaurant full of well-heeled "ladies who lunch", i was happy to be entertained by a friendly barman, and made the right choices from the restaurant week menu: the salad was nicely dressed, the salmon medium to a t, the peach crumble excellent. and the bread rolls cannot be beaten anywhere in new york. highly... Top notch service and wonderful food. We had our two daughters with us and they were treated like princesses. Each girl was given a beautiful box of candy on departure. Some of the nicest staff we've ever encountered.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
