We had high expectations for this NYC institution and our experience fell short. The dining room is beautiful with high ceilings, soothing lighting, and great accoustics. It was easy to carry on a conversation and not have to yell. We visited during Restaurant Week and ordered 3 course meals for $38 each. I ordered the striped bass, which is a... More

Dined at this classic restaurant for Valentines dinner. For years I've read about the celebrities who have dined at this restaurant and was excited to have the opportunity to enjoy a meal here. It was a beautiful dining room and the menu was a fixed price three course meal. Each course was beautifully plated and while the steak wasn't the... More

Le Cirque has been a New York institution for years. The history is undeniable and some of it is captured in the many pictures that adorn the walls and halls. The current location is smart and modern with lots of glass. This is a rather large restaurant, maybe too large to be intimate. We were seated in the room furthest... More

I've recently been writing a number of reviews of great restaurants I've been to recently and Le Cirque completely slipped my mind. That is telling. I booked this restaurant because I was on a Holland America cruise last January where they transformed the ship's dining room into Le Cirque for one night, and the food was absolutely fantastic. So for... More

I always expected Le Cirque to be a 5-star, top echelon fine dining experience, the cream of the crop, in the same category as Le Bernardin, Daniel, EMP, etc. I thought they would have immaculate service, immaculate dishes and immaculate presentation. And while it was delicious, it certainly was not immaculate nor was it an unforgettable experience. Overall is simply... More

We had a big party but the staff took good care of us. We did the tasting menu and we all enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere is fabulous. I recommend this for any special occasion.

We went this year to Le Cirque for New Year's Eve, which ended up lasting until I was ready to fall over at 2:30 in the morning, the latest by far we have stayed on a New Year's Eve dinner, I think ever. Neil Sedaka is a friend of Sirio's and so they all ate together at the table next... More

The restaurant may no longer be the landmark of New York City dining, but it still holds its modern yet grandiose appearance. The food was excellent, some very innovative choices. Still highly recommend for a dinner in style.

We heard so much about Le Cirque & finally went last Friday evening. I am writing not to sway you away from going as the food & the preparation was wonderful! I ordered a martini & the glass was gritty,..I asked the server about it, & she said it was due to the glass being frozen..as I sipped: the glass... More

The place is modern, design and style is original. Great atmosphere. Food is very good, with an interesting mix of Italian tradition and experimental plates. Wine list is of great quality.

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
