everything we tried was really really good - and unique. if you're with a group, consider doing the tasting menu where everyone can share. this place is HUGE for a NYC restaurant with very interesting vibe/decor.

We heard about Buddakan from the Sex and the City bus tour the last time we were in New York, so we decided to try it. The food was very good, but we felt a bit misled by our server on the portion size, and as a result, we ordered more than we could eat. This was a waste of... More

You cannot visit New York and not eat here. I actually remembered it from Sex in the City but that aside, there were a fair few of us and we selected a couple of dishes each and then all mixed and shared which is a great way of tasting everything. Our waiter was very nice, consultative and you could ask... More

Buddakan managed to incorporate authentic Chinese flavors and cooking styles into completely unique and innovative dishes that stunned my tastebuds. The sea bass roll was probably the best piece of fish I've ever tasted, and the crying chocolate dessert was just heavenly. It is a trendy New York restaurant though, meaning loud music and dimmed lights. Not really my thing... More

We went to Buddakan last week and loved it. The service was impeccable, and the food divine. I highly recommend the oxtail dumplings, which were melt-in-your-mouth amazing, the crispy eggplant, and the Chinese sausage fried rice.
