The menu is terrific...so much choice. And the food was delicious. Our waiter was a tad snooty, but that was the only negative.

I recently ate in this reastaurant on a visit to New York and found it to be very ordinary. The wait staff were overbearing and the the quality of food was poor. Dishes were either overcooked or undercooked and lacking in flavour
The restaurant is very nice and it has a large display of fresh fish. Make sure to book in advance. The apetizers are very tasty as well as the bread. The service is excellent. As for the salmon that I ordered as a main dish it was a bit disappointing.
I loved the food - grilled sardines like you find in Europe, all the dips (taramosalata, skordalia, tzatziki), avgolemona soup (which they have but it's not on the menu) & mezes!
This restaurant is on the block where I always stay in NY, and I go there quite often -- most recently two days ago. The menu features excellent fish and side dishes, and meals are served with olives and excellent bread. The Greek wines are also very good. The food is always fresh, well-prepared, and served hot. Coffee comes with...

My husband and I always stop at Kellari for a drink when we're in NYC. We were there this weekend and as always, it didn't disappoint! The bartender was very friendly and attentive. We also love the free bar snacks, so good!
I was with my wife and two friends. We dined at Kellar for the first time after a Saturday matinee. The atmosphere was open spaced and quite attractive. You didn't feel squeezed in like you do in other NYC restaurants. The service was very attentive and courteous. You were not rushed at all!! You were allowed to really enjoy your...

Excellent spot for pre-theatre dining on 44th. Large seating availability, and fast, yet highly professional service. They will get you on to your performance with time to spare. The two- or three-course pre fixe menus are a great value. (less than $40) Standard Greek seafood and other dishes prepared perfectly. Can be a tad noisy if busy, but worth it....

Found Kellari food to be very fresh and delicious. Hard to find good food near the theater district, this is the best I've had so far. Shared cod and lamb chops, both superb. There are cookies at the bar for free that were quite delicious. Lost a star for it being somewhat more expensive than I think it should be.
The seafood dishes were wonderful. We had meze and scallops and shrimp appetizers. I had the Livraki which was so delicate. Dislike: Managers disciplining staff within earshot. Some waiters with attitude who add a touch of unpleasantness to a wonderful dinner with friends.
