Exceptional!

Great atmosphere! Fabulous staff! Wonderful food! Everything was perfect from start to finish! They treated my children beautifully and my oldest had the chefs tasting menu and was blown away! You must eat here!

We went here for lunch and ordered one of the lunch special bento-box type special with the black cod. I also had some uni sushi. The uni was fine. I was disappointed with the lunch entree which included black cod, rice, salad, green beans, miso soup and pickled cucumber. The salad dressing had too much peanut dust and not enough... More

A couple of friends who are foodies were in NYC at the same time we were and they recommended this site. Of course knowing who chef Morimoto is, I was intrigued to taste the food. We had the Morimoto ice tea as we don't drink alcohol and it was great, refreshing with an odd but good flavor. If you're not... More

Our meal was awesome, each course a revelation. I've seen this compared to Buddakan and Spice Market, but in my view it's much, much better. Not because those places are not good, but Morimoto is superb. We opted for the tasting menu, 7 courses. We took 2 business customers, so 4 in total. We were seated at a long, communal... More

Loved the whole vibe - the sushi was incredible, the lychee martini a must - a definite go to high-end sushi place! Highly recommended!

We decided to come here on the 4th of July for dinner, as we wanted to dine somewhere different and nice. Already having a love for Japanese food, this restaurant set the standards high. The service was very attentive, and the waitresses were friendly and knowledgable. The atmosphere and fit out of the restaurant is simply beautiful, and you are... More

If you want a full and pricey NY experience, this can be the perfect spot. more than 300 seated places, minimalism design, nice Japanese food and expensive wine. The place is actually the sibling of Buddakan (Chinese fusion, in the Chelsea/Meatpacking area) and can be really crowded. Try to call before to book a table.

Starting from the staff down the bathroom cleanness, this place is absolutely great. The morimoto omakase option which has 8 servings is lovely fresh and different then other testing's I've had in the past.

This was our first visit to Morimoto and our server was very friendly and helpful. Maybe a little bit too helpful as he persuaded us to go with a bigger sushi selection rather than our first choice. This was much pricier and contained 30 pieces instead of the 12 we first ordered, which we didn't noticed until the food was... More
