Amazing atmosphere, music, decoration, light, menu & attention. Went with 3 friends for a brunch, and have a great time! Don’t miss it if you are around

I first stumbled into Mud in the middle of a blizzard in 2003 because it was the only thing open. Mud quickly turned into my favourite coffee shop in New York, always bustling, full of happy people, and often a line to the door it may not seem like the kind of place you could lounge away an afternoon -... Love the coffee. Hipster quotient is off the chart (East Village style). Pastries are good and I love their t-shirts too.

What a fantastic coffee shop! It's tight in the front but the back garden has sweet candles lit, a wait staff that lets you sit for hours, and scrumptious bites to go with your world-famous coffee.

I’ve been coming to this coffee house for years. For character and off-beat charm, it’s hard to beat. Certainly you won’t find a Starbucks or Dean & Deluca that can match MUD’s (officially Mudspot, but my friends all call it Mud) quasi-funky ambiance. I’ve spent hours there talking with friends and enjoying coffee, beer, or both. Cozy is a good... More

We had brunch on the 4th of July holiday weekend. The menu had the traditional brunch type items, including yogurt and granola, banana pancakes, omelets, tea, coffee, and mimosas. Portion sizes are filling without being too much food. And the service was great. The back room is large enough to be comfortable for groups of 4-6 at a table. They... More

I've been several times to New York and this is my favorite place for breakfast in east village! They have delicious baggels, muffins and Chai latte. And a terrace at the back quiet and cosy. This is a very nice place to relax. You can also have lunch and dinner.
