I have traveled to NYC many times, but never visited for pleasure. We decided to treat the kids over the Thanksgiving weekend....Macy's Parade, Rockettes, shopping, etc. A work associate raised in NYC suggested stopping into The Spotted Pig for lunch and libations....He and I are both Irish-Americans (yes, his dad is a retired NYC cop) and love a great pub.... After cooking several dishes from April Bloomfield's A Girl and Her Pig including her mind-blowing lamb curry which I've served to more than a few wowed guests, we had to dine at The Spotted Pig. 'The Pig' is a one-star Michelin rated gastro-pub and Ms. Bloomfield just won the James Beard Best Chef NYC. We decided that lunch would be... More

If you're looking for the quintessential manhattan hole-in-the-wall restaurant experience, this is a great option. Awesome location. Interesting interior that's eclectic yet fitting. Food is very gastro-pub oriented and may be a bit of a stretch if you are used to dining at the typical American chain restaurants. I go back every time I'm in Manhattan. Be prepared to wait... My favourite restaurant! The food is so fresh and amazing! Our waitress was a little overbearing but the entire experience was still five star! Love it!

Ever since reading April Bloomfields book, "a girl and her pig", I've wanted to dine here. After walking the Highline we stopped in for lunch and had a great one! The pub is perfect and the staff was terrific. Next time we're in this City, we will be back!

We really enjoyed our dinner here. This is a unique, original restaurant which ticked all the boxes. The food was world-class fantastic, the atmosphere was terrific, the staff were friendly and warm, it was overall a marvellous night out.

Order the cheeseburger if you like blue cheese. Also get the gnudi, devils on horseback and deviled eggs. Long waits, but worth it!

If you like a loud fratboy vibe where you have to wait at least an hour on average to get a table this is the place for you. When you eventually get your table and you order the house special, the burger you will be disappointed. For $21 you will get a patty mostly tasting of salt with a very... More

We had Sunday brunch here- delicious. There is always a wait here- always. Plan on waiting for an hour. (You can have a seat at the bar immediately, but I've never been lucky enough to find a seat.) Put your name in for a table and explore the West Village. Also, you have to wait a bit after you order... More

After walking the Highline we wandered into West Greenwich and found this great little bar/pub. Have to say this was a bitter pub than many I have visited in UK with good choice of beers & ale. Menu looked great and alll the tables were full
