Dinner with friends

I have NEVER waited 3 hours for a table, but the food was great once we were seated, needless to say we did pop off for a few drinks

The bar and restaurant has a really great vibe and the staff is super. I liked the chicken liver starter that was tasty and interesting. The burger is though overrated and I expected more considering the restaurants renommé. The meat and bread were both quite dry and the taste of the blue cheese was way too strong and unbalanced.

First off, be prepared for a long waited, ours was 2 hours. Not a big deal seeing it was a Friday night a 6 p.m. Plenty of bars around to grab a drink while you wait. The guy taking names at the front was great, he took our number and sent us a text when our table was ready. All... More

There are so many establishments in NYC that claim to have the best burger in the city that if you only want to try only one it is hard to select. We happened to be near Greenwich so that is how we selected the Spotted Pig and I am glad we did. We were lucky that it was a rainy... More

This place is constantly rated for having the best burgers! Idk where the people rating the burgers are eating but the burger here is below average. I asked for a medium burger and got an extremely well done one that I couldnt even chew through. It had feta cheese dressing...I mean I like feta but not liquid feta on a... More

Welcoming high quality foodie venue (1 Michelin *) we had the specials & the chowder with a local beer & German white wine, etc very enjoyable and then sat to cuddle an extra drink before we ventured outside again to the miserable wet weather. Excellent vibey music. Well worth the visit!

I was looking forward to visiting this place, especially as we had read up on it! The setting is great and so unique. Although it was busy, we were fitted in almost straight away. The staff were nice, and attentive. We had a pigs ear salad which, having not had pigs ear before, I enjoyed. I had the steak for... More

I've tasted many burgers in the New York and around the world, this one is among the best burgers I've eaten. It is not in the average price range for a burger, but it is worth it. If you are a burger lover, I would definitely recommend.

I went here with some colleagues after the snow storm to find a warm and cozy atmosphere with still all of the charm of a gastropub. The menu was a nice assortment of both typical and very unique offerings, which added to the overall experience. The burger is their staple item and didn't disappointment.

Not sure why all the hype!! I found their famous Chargrilled Burger with Roquefort cheese and Shoestring Fries problematic on many fronts. The cheese was too strong that I barely tasted the meat, the shoestring fries were salty way beyond normal and the price for such discomfort was unbelievably high! Otherwise, location is great and staff was nice.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
