Unique place

Unusual décor, on the small side, but an enjoyable place to have a couple of drinks/appys. Would definitely visit this bar again, maybe for dinner.

This place is one of those (for some reason) popular places but is completely complacent in its attitude to customers. You typically wait ages outside (as they don't have a reservations service) and then get seated. We waited 75 minutes, after placing the order whilst seated, for the salty burger to arrive (the cheese on top was apparently the reason... More

Was recommended this place by a friend of a friend and we would like to recommend it too! Ok we only went for the blue cheese burger and skinny fries.... But then looking around that's all everybody else was having.....and very good it was.succulent meat with a good bun and the best fries we've had all trip, washed down with a... More

Don't believe the hype. Staff were disinterested. Too cool for school. Food was fine but could have been purchased at a diner. Basic food like this is a dime a dozen in the good pubs of England, Ireland or Australia.

I arrived on a Wednesday around noon and was seated immediately in the banquette on the first floor. Service was slow but friendly enough. Tables were quite crowded and uncomfortable but that is NYC. I ordered chicken liver toasts and roll mops off the Bar Snacks portion of the menu so that I could try something special and unique. They... More

Having heard about this restaurant from a top television chef here in Norway who goes here to get a burger when in town. Made me think that it should be worth a visit. We timed it correct after being in the area. Names are put on a list, and then you are taken to your table. Not a problem after... More

We ended up here last week after planning a lunch in the new Le District which was a total bust (reminded me of an upscale food court so we left). By the time we made it there it was between lunch and dinner service so the menu was limited. My husband and I both had burgers which were really good.... More

Venue is well put together with bar and walls decorated with lots of pig art work and more. So an one hour wait at the bar then upstairs to our table to more of downstairs with bar and pig art. Great service at all times but the long wait for the food needs fixing - about an hour! The food... More

It's basically it: the chargrilled burger with Roquefort cheese & shoestring fries. There is just that one option but you definitely won't need more: this burger is fantastic. The flavor of the patty is the best I've tried. Great place to go with friends. Nice atmosphere, decorated with pigs everywhere

Very typical for american food, cosy place in a cool radical newyorkese style, genuine food and friendly service. Try the burger with blue cheese and gnudis!

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
