Lovely Surprise

Stumbled over this gem whilst out walking one evening in central NYC and what a lovely surprise. We were seated quite quickly in a large & nicely decorated Cuban-style restaurant that also happened to have a super vibe. Our service and food were both excellent and our mojitos and sangria weren't... read more

Having tried this restaurant at the Roosevelt Field mall, I decided to venture out with my family following a Broadway show. This location was overcrowded when I visited in Dec. 2015. I should have known that it was going to be a bad night when I people waiting, yet there were a few empty seats. My family ordered paella and... More

Ate here post theater. This is a large, LOUD restaurant with tables crammed together (more so than most NYC places). The Cuban menu was extensive, but the quality of food average and very premade. Drinks (the obligatory mojitos) were very good. There is also a Cuban band playing (but hard to hear due to the noise). All in all convenient... More

We found this hotel by chance - looked out my hotel window and saw the sign. We walked over on a Saturday evening, not knowing what to expect. We were told it would be about a half-hour wait. We left our cell number and went for a short walk around the block. They called us in about 20 minutes, and... More

Visited this restaurant today and just had to write a review directly. Great service, wonderful food, nice environment... It has everything. We ate the Pollo al ajillo and I wish I had the recipe, because it was sooo good! As a desert we had the tres leches (which was on the house) and that too was amazing.

We had empanadas and paella and classic cuban chicken dish. The empanadas were ok, but not very warm and were given 5min after we ordered, do the math. The main course, paella, was indeed warm, but very salty and dry chicken, the fish was good though. The cuban chicken was actually rather good, but not that warm. All in all... More

The environment shows a noisy and busy place, the senior manager was screaming at all time, his body language was unacceptable, he hasn't brought what I have requested initially and he has almost obliged me to pay a minimum of 18% of the bill. Definitely is not a peaceful place to enjoy a meal with your partner. Cuban environment is... More

The ambience was very nice and the location is perfect in Times Square. Right around the corner from the Double Tree. The service was friendly. I love food with strong flavors and spice. The menu had mofongo. So I was excited for a culinary experience. Unfortunately, the 1/2 roasted chicken and empanadas were bland despite my high hopes. Only the... More

The restaurant was packed with customers which is always a good sign for me. The manager came to me and asked me how my stay was in NYC, I was shocked that anybody cared, besides that the food was excellent, the atmosphere was complete with the live band. Will definitely go back.

Table nearby obliviously on a party with great cocktails . Asked server who gave us great rundown and same were ordered. Great prompt service menu explained. Had... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
