Through its festive ambiance, vibrant décor and mouth-watering food, dining at Havana Central is like taking a mini vacation. Executive Chef Stanley Licairac’s traditional dishes like Vaca Frita, Ropa Vieja and Arroz con Pollo are an unmistakable celebration of Cuban cuisine. The cocktail list includes the best Mojitos and Sangrias in New York; the wine list is filled with Latin American favorites. Havana Central Times Square opened in 2005, followed by Havana Central Upper West Side in 2007. Hours and menus vary by location.

We went here for dinner. The server rushed us through our meal. Even gave us the bill without asking if we want dessert. I had the vegetable paella it was decent. The sangria was just ok. The tres leches wasn't good. The restaurant was FREEZING like the AC was on because there wasn't a door open. I wouldn't go back... More

I was here a while ago and returned with a friend to enjoy another delicious dinner. The restaurant was very crowded and we asked if there was a quiet table. The manager, Keenan Jones went out his way to find a lovely table for us. The salmon with mango glace was wonderful. Service was professional.

Great place to eat good food in NYC. Alcohol free mojitos for kids and they enjoyed it. Worth a try, it's a good place

Excellent appetizers and dinners. Three Empanadas, one each of Shrimp, Chicken and Spinach with Goat Cheese. This was the first time we had tried these and they were excellent, especially the Spinach & Goat Cheese one. We also enjoyed the four Fried Plantains that were shaped like a small bowl and stuffed with, chicken, pork, beef & shrimp. Also Delicious.... More

Havana Central will definitely be added to my Times Square pre-theater list. Great atmosphere, great drinks and appetizers. We both had the Don Julio margaritas and split the queso fundido with chorizo. The empanadas at the next table looked great too. My husband had one of their specials that was basically a mixed grill. The skirt steak was excellent. I... More

Restaurant located right off Times Square and is able to accommodate most customers without reservations. All food items were Cuban type dishes and not very spicy as I expected. All four of us were very surprised with everything about this restaurant including the food.

Service was ok. Food was good. Mojitos were great. Make a reservation for a weekend night for sure as the place was packed (bar and restaurant). The place seemed a little touristy as it's near Times Square but the folks around our table were all locals so perhaps not.

The food here is great and authentic. There is a lot to choose from on the menu. I especially recommend the empanadas, arroz con pollo, and chicharron. Very delicious. The service can be hit or miss. Sometimes we go and get excellent service, other times you have to work pretty hard to get a glass of water or hot sauce.... More

I have seen this place a few times but always blew it off because I thought it was one of the may tourist traps near Broadway. My cousin and I were in the city and decided we wanted Cubin food so, we decided to take a chance. What a surprise! The food and service were great. We were really hungry... More
