Havana Central evokes the 1950s golden era of Cuba, capturing Havana’s heyday as the world’s most tantalizing playground. Through its festive ambiance, vibrant décor and mouth-watering food, dining at Havana Central is like taking a mini vacation. Executive Chef Stanley Licairac’s traditional dishes like Vaca Frita, Ropa Vieja and Arroz con Pollo are an unmistakable celebration of Cuban cuisine. The cocktail list includes the best Mojitos and Sangrias in New York; the wine list is filled with Latin American favorites. Havana Central Times Square opened in 2005, followed by Havana Central Upper West Side in 2007. Hours and menus vary by location.

Great Time Square Restaurant to keep returning to!

This was a return to this restaurant after a 2 year hiatus while on a trip to NYC with my wife. Our food was wonderful. My wife had the Rojos Viejas, and I with simple taste, had a wonderful plate of Arroz con Pollo with a side order of Maduros. Our waiter was excellent, both attentive and... read more

Food is top notch as is the wine. Service was second to none. Location is great being just off Times Square. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting New York.

My friend and I were in NYC to see a Sunday matinee and were looking for an interesting place to eat. We usually avoid the chain restaurants of Times Square and wanted food we do not get at home. We remembered that we ate in a Cuban restaurant in Puerto Rico and both liked it. (She is a bit of... More

We found this our last night in town and LOVED it. My wife is Latin (and a great cook) and we found this to be very authentic Cuban food.

My husband is 100℅ Cuban, and we never get Cuban food in Tucson. We stopped in here hoping for some authentic Cuban food, an d I'm glad we did. I ordered the vegetable paella (which was amazing), and my husband ordered his favorite - churrasco steak with rice and black beans. The chimichurri sauce was definitely not the greatest, but... Havana Central is a loud, cheery restaurant in a great location. The food is fine, the prices are reasonable and the service is marginally acceptable. I would recommend it for families and larger groups. Smaller groups seem to be overlooked by the servers and can't compete with the overall noise level.

Great value and atmosphere for the area. Food was tasty (pernil, arroz, habichuelas, tostones, empanadas). We had the pork, rice, beans, and friend plantains as well as the empanadas. Server was fanstastic, sangria was good, mom's daiquiri was good, and our visit was overall great. We stopped here before our visit to a broadway show. Would go back if I'm... More

Just a quick note of what s great meal we had at Havana Central in Manhattan yesterday. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. Do try the Tostones Rellanos as an appetizer and the Pollo con Piña ( Pineapple Chicken ) & Carne De Cerdo ( Slow Roasted Pork ) Amazing Entrees

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
