It was nice to have food that didn't come with chips. The food was tasty. We had a lovely table on the first floor overlooking the ground floor so we could people watch and also have a great view of the live band and be far enough away from the music for it not to be intrusive.

We made no real plans for our late lunch so we just stumbled into the place. Had a good crowd so we thought it must be ok, Turned out to be much more. The food was delicious. Chicharrones were fantastic as were the tostones. The sangria made table-side was also absolutley delicious. I would highly recommended. A friend had the... More

I've been to this Havana Central a couple of years ago and was really excited to try them out after so long. Well, the food was good. Had the Garlic sauce Chicken with yellow rice and beans. I had the Havana Mojito "best mojito in NY" so they say and I beg to differ. It was nothing to write home... More

We had eaten here on a NYC visit several years ago, and it continues to be very good. Excellent Cuban sandwich. On this visit, the paella was good. The mojitos are very tasty. This restaurant is always quite noisy -- guess that's that way it is.

A+ on all my main criteria. Service - Excellent. They balanced tending to me without hovering or making me feel rushed. It was just the right amount of friendly attention. Food - Excellent. I live in south Florida where Cuban food is a staple of our community. The churrasco I had was as good and dare I say better than... More

We ate here tonight. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I had the paella and my husband had some sort of pork. Both dishes as well as the drinks were delicious, Prices were very fair. Our waitress was superwoman. She worked our table and a large tour group without missing a beat. I wish... More

We were very excited to find a Cuban restaurant open at that late hour and so close to Time Square. The online reviews looked OK, there was live music, so we went in. Got seated right away, liked the energy and attitude of the staff. The place looks a little shabby and not really clean. The food was OK, nothing... More

We had a later dinner, having just flown in from the West Coast. Havana was just a few feet from our hotel, the Muse on 46th Street. We strolled over, were seated in one of the few available tables (a rousing bar business was happening!), ordered drinks (I really like their margarita, while my husband was a fan of the... More

We did not find out initial choice of restaurant for the evening so we pooped in here. The service and food was OK, nothing special. Eat here if you are walking by and are hungry

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
