Astounding BLT!

It was snowy windy and cold and we had not had lunch but we were able to get into this restaurant at 4:30 for a late lunch very early dinner. The wait staff was superb and very attentive. The 3 course Restaurant week menu diverse and our lasagna and seafood entrees were excellent. All in all a pleasant way to... More

I read a few of the negative reviews regarding their breakfast, and I would say to them: this isn't a breakfast place! Their lunch and dinners are what make this restaurant. Their tagliatelle bolognese sauce is killer, all of their pastas are good. I had the Beal chip for Lynch and it was really good with a side of mixed... More

On a freezing morning, we went here for breakfast because our nearby hotel was just too busy and loud. The prices were good and so were the cocktails, but the selections for breakfast were minimal and the service excruciatingly slow and lackadaisical. They also gave us the impression that our departure would be quite welcome so they could prepare for... More

We recently dined at Abboccato during our visit to Rockefeller Center. The restaurant's location is excellent for mid-town NYC sightseeing. This was our first visit to this restaurant while we enjoyed lunch with friends. As we entered, we noted a relaxed atmosphere, attractive decor, and a friendly greeting. We ordered a bottle of wine from a wine list that included... More

I've been going to this restaurant for several years now because I work in the area. When the place started out, the menu was perhaps a bit too adventurous for most diners walking into a restaurant that was billed as "Italian," but there was something personal about that approach that was very appealing to me. Over the years, the offerings... More

While staying in the Blakely hotel we had breakfast here, since it was included in our rate. We most likely would not have chosen it if it was not included, but it was convenient on a very cold morning - as you can enter from the hotel lobby. It was a very average continental buffet breakfast, but to be fair,... More

Abboccato is at once both; intimate and convenient and comfortable and sophisticate. The menu is varied and the wine list very good. I have been going there for years, the only miss this recent lunch was the service. Our waiter was inexperienced and continually interrupted my business lunch by question and clarifications. However, my pasta was wonderful.

Prior to seeing Alvin Ailey at the NY City Center we had a wonderful lunch right across the street. Warm atmosphere, very courteous employees and the food was super fresh and perfect proportions for lunch. The price was very reasonable. I would certainly recommend and love to go back myself. I enjoyed a mixed seafood salad and mom had a... More

Wow where to start. Had been looking forward all day to a big bowl of creamy pasta. This place looked nice enough from outside. Our coats were taken at the door, it was snow/raining outside so we were glad to lose wet coats for a while. We were shown to a very dark table. We asked to be moved to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
