It was after the theater and were hungry but did not have any place directly in mind. The Abboccato was just a block from our hotel and it had caught my eye earlier in the day so decided to take a gamble on the food. Must admit, was surprised it was better executed than I had expected which made for... More

Nice cosy decor and quiet. Good Italian food with a good choice of dishes. Service is good and the prices are reasonable. Would definitely go back there on another visit to NYC.... Recommend a table in the in-door/out-door area

I did not enjoy my meal here...Very disappointing. I ordered the Chicken Picatta which should be strongly flavored with lemon...I couldn't taste any lemon.

They food here was quite good but the service was very uneven. There was a long wait for the main courses that caused us to ask multiple times what is happening. I assume that the kitchen was overwhelmed. The servers and bus people run around trying to please but it seems somewhat chaotic. I did like the food and location... More

Stopped in for a late supper after visiting MOMA. Though the menu is somewhat limited, it was easy to find something wonderful to eat. And, to start, the warm bread and olive oil is lovely. I was also impressed that there house chardonnay was excellent (they do have a full bar but I prefer a nice glass of wine).

We dined at Abboccato recently while visiting NYC, and we would go back in a nanosecond. The ravioli with gorgonzola and pumpkin was amazing! They have a great selection of wine too, making this place one of our favorites anytime we are in town.

The lamb chop was so tender, and very delicious. We almost ordered another, just because it was that good! Their infused drinks are unusual & do not lack on alcohol! The homemade bread sticks they serve before dinner are fabulous too. We also had the baby chicken, and it was very moist and lots of flavor. Not a bad choice... More

We went to this restaurant on the advice of our hotel staff and were expecting an okay meal. We were one of the last people to go in before the kitchen closed. The small plates were great, good choices of wine, and the ravioli was excellent. Definitely would recommend.
