We had lunch there on June,13th before we departed from NYC and the whole experience was unfortunate. We ordered Ravioli, soup and salad and a glass of wine. The waiter was very overwhelmed for some reason, spent time gabbing with a couple of tourists and let us wait without food, bread or any sense that we were there until we... more

This is a nice spot for a pre-show dinner. It's right across from City Center, where you can see theater and dance almost any night of the week. The cacio e pepe spaghettini was delicious and the pear martini was too. Not a huge menu, but it's reasonable, especially for the neighborhood. The service, however, was confusing; we were waited... more

We went to this restaurant on Tuesday evening about 8pm. I ordered seabass and a portion of roast potatoes. The waiter returned to tell me they had no potatoes!!! The expression " pub with no beer " sprang to mind. We left and will not be returning. more

I was very disappointed with all aspects of my meal in Abboccato. The service was dreadful, the girl on the door who checked in our coats never smiled once or indeed even bothered to make eye contact - she was far too bored for that and made it quite clear we were basically just a nuisance to her! The waiter... more

We enjoyed a meal at Abboccato while in town for a conference and while one of our party was not happy with the meal, the rest of us really enjoyed our dinners. We started with the Crispy Calamari Salad which was dressed with a gorgeously tangy but slightly sweet lemon aioli that made you want to lick the plate clean.... more

We chose this restaurant as it was a block from the hotel we were staying at and also because they were a participating restaurant in NYC restaurant week. Even for the $35 per dinner price tag, I thought it was overpriced. I did not like the too fishy lobster bisque, but I did enjoy the tagliatelle bolognese. Dessert was a... more

My sister, brother and I took my elderly mother to NYC for her birthday dinner and a play on Broadway. We chose Abboccato for dinner and made a reservation for 5:30. Due to traffic, we were nearly half an hour late, but we were graciously welcomed, and found our table ready and waiting for us. The food was delicious and... more

We were staying at the Blakely hotel, so it made sense to eat in thier restaurant. However, we found it expensive and the food was only ok. Service was good however. more

I picked this place because I had friends staying at the Michelangelo who were also going to the theater at 8p. We arrived for a 6pm reservation and we were promptly seated. The host was pleasant and the seating was good. The restaurant looks nice, although it is not as tony as you might expect from the restaurant. The waitstaff... more
