Nothing awesome, nothing horrible. Good traditional Italian fare from soups and salads to the pasta and meat dishes. Business trip so sat solo at the bar and received attentive, but not over bearing service. Decent wifi, courtesy of the Barclay's hotel next door, so I lingered over the meal and a few glasses of wine. The tiramisu was a stand... More

We will not be returning for lunch or dinner. Dessert was very good. I had the apple strudel with gelato. We may try breakfast, and we will return for dessert. There were only two vegetarian meal options, and they were okay. The vegetarian ravioli portion was small and just okay. The Zuppa Di Zucca, a butternut squash soup was good... More

We recently made a return visit with a former colleague to this place that we visited several times while working here in Manhattan, and had their 3 course prix fixe lunch menu for a reasonable $28. We loved their unusual and very tasty Caprese salad with the bufala mozzarella drenched in balsamico, as well as their roasted Amish chicken and,... More

Our hotel recommended this place for a classic home made Italian meal. Well.. I have lived in Italy for 8 years and never had any of this stuff. It is Italian based but tried to jazz it up with small portions and strange tastes. Since it was new years eve they had a fixed menu. And we had a 5... More

We carefully selected Abbocato for a special Christmas Season dinner after the Radio City Christmas Show. We couldn't have been more disappointed. The impression upon entering is that the decor is dull - with insufficient lighting and bare tables with placemats only (even at this festive time of year!) The worst part was the food - or what there was... More

Very nice meal. Not busy today. Had the price fixed 7 fishes dinner with wine pairings. 7 Italian wines, nicely complemented each course. All courses were very good... A few standouts were the sardine with eggplant, shrimp ravioli, and Sea bass. The two pasta dishes were just ok...back to back, both with red sauce, one with lobster and one with... More

We just choose this restaurant as we walked past it,and were presently surprised, the food was good quality and not too expensive given its location. We would defiantly go back.

We had dinner for two here and when we arrived, they did not have our reservations. The service was a pleasant but not very attentive. Our food was rather bland and it was served lukewarm. The environment itself was nice but I will mosty likely not return.

Excellent food. Our server Britney was also excellent. Glad to see a varied menu. Loved the Grilled Octopus and Buffalo mozzarella antipasti.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
