The first uptown New York location by legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, opened to much anticipation in the summer of 2005. Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature New Style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno and Black Cod Miso, and new creations from the wood burning oven and the hibachi table.

Took my girlfriend here for a Friday night dinner. We have been to other locations of Nobu. There were reservations made prior. We still waited for over and hour, standing near the coat drop. Once seated, we still had a delay in ordering. The food came out as it was ready, but the final dish took... read more

During a recent trip to New York the cold wind got to us and we stepped into Nobu, to get out of the cold- We had a late lunch, tried the lunch bento box and we left warm, happy and lucky to have found this restaurant. It is expensive, but then, in this part of NYC, everything is. Will clearly... More

Had weekday dinner with small group of business colleagues and we all enjoyed Nobu midtown. Buzzing scene with lots of happy professionals. (Not a place for those looking for quiet and serenity.) Server was behind at times, so best not to be in a hurry, and it's a bit expensive for the non-expense account set. However, the kitchen was at... More

menu very restricted and the quality is not even similar to the great japanese restaurants in Sao Paulo. I left hungry and disapointed.

There is no doubt that the food is good. The service was okay. Great big gaps between visits to the table. The check was the most impressive thing of the night. It was crazy expensive and we are not faint of heart when it comes to fine dining. That said, the Black Cod with Miso was quite nice.

Love the impeccable service and signature Nobu cocktails at this Westside / Midtown location of the Tribeca favourite. Dine at the sushi bar and you can have dinner & a show!

Ok, I have the cookbook now, need I say more. It is such magnificent sushi with flare and non-traditional overtones. Be adventurous here and ask for help. They are quite willing to guide you and you won't be disappoints. I just wished I had two stomachs to try more. Sigh.

Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
