Great Sushi

This, like other Nobu restaurants, a casual atmosphere with absolutely great sushi, as well as other entrees such as their signature Black Cod. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

Nobu 57 was close to our hotel and our concierge was able to get us in on a Saturday night. We had the rock shrimp appetizer and it was fabulous. The rest of the meal was very good, as well. We were a little nervous about eating here because we don't eat sushi, but our waiter explained the menu and... More

We come here often for lunch -- it's always delicious. The rock shrimp ponzu is my favorite. Recently, however, I dined here with business colleagues. One of those colleagues directed the server to use his best judgment to pair wines and plates and to keep them coming until we said stop. That's a risky direction for a restaurant, but we... More

This place is outstanding in every respect--pick your positive adjective. The food, atmosphere, service, everything about the place is done right. The only negative is it's expensive, but it's so good you won't mind paying the bill.

My wife had been dying to try Nobu the last few visits we had made to the city - our late arrival allowed us to take advantage of a late reservation. The crowded restaurant adds to the experience. The service was amazing. Our waiter explained each option we were interested in and offered suggestions on others. Then the food was... More

Took my girlfriend here for a Friday night dinner. We have been to other locations of Nobu. There were reservations made prior. We still waited for over and hour, standing near the coat drop. Once seated, we still had a delay in ordering. The food came out as it was ready, but the final dish took very long. For 2... More

During a recent trip to New York the cold wind got to us and we stepped into Nobu, to get out of the cold- We had a late lunch, tried the lunch bento box and we left warm, happy and lucky to have found this restaurant. It is expensive, but then, in this part of NYC, everything is. Will clearly... More

Had weekday dinner with small group of business colleagues and we all enjoyed Nobu midtown. Buzzing scene with lots of happy professionals. (Not a place for those looking for quiet and serenity.) Server was behind at times, so best not to be in a hurry, and it's a bit expensive for the non-expense account set. However, the kitchen was at... More

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
