Overall this is a superb restaurant which is based right next to Bryant Park. The decor is the first thing that impresses as you walk in, as there are areas to be seated where you can sit as a group, or quieter areas where you can sit as a couple. The layout is very good. The staff are very attentive,... More

I invited an out of town friend to koi. Prior to get visit all I did was rave about food, drink, desserts. we ordered a diet coke and iced green that were served in wine glasses!!! Catering hall much??? Decided I too wanted iced green tea-served in a different glass from my friends. Tacky. The flat iron steak was dry.... More

I'd have to say that this is honestly one of the best sushi restaurants I've eaten at! Everything we ordered was to perfection and nicely presented. I even ordered an extra sushi dish, after taking a bite from my friend's plate. Great location -actually facing Bryant park and inside Bryant park hotel. A true gem of a place. Highly recommend... We enjoyed our experience at Koi and the food was very good. It was not the best sushi we have ever had, but it was yummy enough for us to order seconds! The crispy rice and spicy tuna was great and we enjoyed the midnight roll too.

I will admit that I like the atmosphere better at Koi in LA but the food in NYC is just as good. The baked crab hand roll, the tuna and crispy rice and the albacore are great starters. You can't go wrong with the cod for an entry. The service was real good and friendly. The sake is very fairly... More

Chose to eat here our first night of trip because it was near our hotel, The Refinery. The hyped crispy rice was fantastic, but the spicy tuna it came with was less than its equal. On the other hand, the tuna tartare and yellowfin tuna were stupendous. The baked crab roll was delicious, the lobster tacos stupendous, the grilled eggplant... More

Sushi was awesome. And I really mean awesome. The waiter was nice and took a picture of us. Bamboo cups were also cool! The ambiance of the place was pretty japanese but a mix between new and old and felt a bit awkward. The Sushi was so freaking good.. Have I mentioned the sushi?

Good fusion food, worth a try. Although prices are slightly steeper, it is worth making a trip down when you are in NYC.
