Rich earth tones of orange, red and brown impart warmth to the cool and tranquil space. Thin tapestries of translucent rose fabric are embellished with flame motifs and suspended from the ceiling, creating a separate seating area perfect for a light bite near the large front windows. Famous for its unique and mouth-watering interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Upscale Japanese fare is given a jolt of new life through an innovative use of ingredients, resulting in refreshing and exciting flavor combinations. Crispy Rice with Spice Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna. Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crab meat is wrapped in a thin rice paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection. Hamachi Fusion with Soy-Citrus and Truffle Essence all artfully plated by Koi’s skilled culinary team.

Great food and great service.

Four of us stopped at Koi for an early lunch before a business meeting. Food was excellent and so was the service. The interior design is really nice and it was not too noisy so we could easy talk to each other. Overall, I would highly recommend Koi.

This is a very professional restaurant on every level. Food, service and ambience for first rate. There is a menu that makes you want to order everything. The wait staff was very informed about the menu and offered suggestions that were very detailed. The food was excellent and served without delay.

Love the food at Koi. We had a special that had 4 different servings of sashimi that was second to none. The tuna with foix grais (spelling?) was out of this world. I have been to Koi in LA and Vegas both were fun party places. Koi NY was much more sedate with lots of couples out on data night... More

Food, presentation, and customer care were flawless. The manager, Rex, treated us so well we felt we were his personal guests. Perfection across the board!

I think Koi competes with the other big name Asian fusion restaurants in NYC (Spice Market, NoBu, Buddakan, and Tao.) Koi however, is primarily Japanese, whereas the others focus on more of a fusion menu. The décor and ambience also is a standout feature at Koi, with an understated Asian influence, coupled with more drastic modern features it is very... More

Nice ambiance and good Asian food, interesting flavors, and not as pricy as it could be if compared to some other good places in NYC. Though it was packed for it was Holiday time, service was good and pleasant staff. Deff going back

I enjoyed this restaurant quite a bit. The decor was very cool. The staff was maybe overly attentive but we were there early on a Sunday (6:15) and they weren't very full. Our server did a nice job of explaining the menu items. They are known for the tuna/crispy rice and it did not disappoint. The black cod is another... More

recently met up with a dear ol' friend for the weekend in Manhatten and stayed at the Bryant Park Hotel... so the first night, after reading glowing reviews and always having a hankering for sushi, we had dinner in the adjoining restaurant, Koi... Well, what a fantastic find that turned out to be! Wow! the service was amazing and the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
