Rich earth tones of orange, red and brown impart warmth to the cool and tranquil space. Thin tapestries of translucent rose fabric are embellished with flame motifs and suspended from the ceiling, creating a separate seating area perfect for a light bite near the large front windows. Famous for its unique and mouth-watering interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Upscale Japanese fare is given a jolt of new life through an innovative use of ingredients, resulting in refreshing and exciting flavor combinations. Crispy Rice with Spice Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna. Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crab meat is wrapped in a thin rice paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection. Hamachi Fusion with Soy-Citrus and Truffle Essence all artfully plated by Koi’s skilled culinary team.

Koi, a great business lunch

Koi is something of an island in this part of mid-town. We're not saturated with great lunch places like the Village, SoHo, or even other parts of mid-town. Koi's existence helps make this fact a bit more palatable. You can reliably have a great experience at Koi. Try the crispy rice... read more

Beautiful and elegant Japanese restaurant in NYC! We had a business dinner here in the spring and enjoyed the ambiance as well as the food very much. We each had different dishes but I had the Koi Roll and it was one of the best sushi selections I have ever had. It was wonderful! I would highly recommend this restaurant... More

Had some of the best Japanese food i have ever had in this elegant and hip restaurant recently. Drinks were great. The service was prompt - they got us fed in time to walk to Times Square to catch a show.

Came to Koi a few times and we always enjoy our time here. Food is decent Asian / Japanese Fusion. It's not the most authentic but still tasty. Trendy setting with rather loud musics. Price is in the mid-range but drinks is on the high side. I do recommend trying it out.

We ate here mostly because of a late arrival at the next door Bryant Park Hotel (great hotel!). Restaurant was bustling on a Tuesday night so that was a good sign. It's well rated, but for us it just didnt come together. The menu was uninspiring and even somewhat limited and there was no cocktail menu to speak of. Service... More

Koi knows what's up. We recently were craving Asian cuisine and in the Bryant park area so we snagged a table during their lunch rush, and it did not disappoint. Every bite was delicious and I personally can't wait to go back again!!!

They made us a tasty treat of sushi rolls and the crunchy spicy tuna (this 2nd dish is to die for). They can prepare it to go which we did since we were upstairs in the hotel.

We made reservations a couple weeks ahead and because we had been to Buddakan and Tao, we thought it would be similar. We were seated in the back corner of the restaurant - facing the wall. So, we honestly could have been at the Cracker Barrel for all we could see. I'm sure the atmosphere around us was awesome, but... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
