Between the service and food - Koi is one of my favorite. It is a larger restaurant so it has an open feel. The food is high quality - Don't miss the Lobster tacos or the Spicy Shrimp hand roll and for dessert the coconut rice pudding brulee is superb. The specialty drinks are also exceptional. My favorite is the... More

I am a sushi lover. I could eat it everyday....all the time. I like it all sushi, sashimi, rolls, I just love it! However, the sushi I received at Koi was...OK. The crowd was lively, the staff too busy, but the food just missed. I am not certain a cheap take out would have been worse. Better luck next time.

I went for a business dinner and was very happy with the food, just not overwhelmingly impressed. The crunchy rice sushi is the only item I thought was exceptional. The combination of the flavors along with the crunch of the rice (it's flash fried) made for a nice piece of sushi. I would definitely entertain clients here again.

Based on the numerous good reviews, we wanted to try the Koi for dinner. The food was quite good (but nothing exceptional), service was just ok, and so was the atmosphere. Compared to similar restaurants in the same price range I must say that the Koi was a bit of a dissapoinment.

So this is what it's like to make it in NYC? $400 later I had a signed contract and a big thank you from my client. Order big, share food, don't miss the truffle tartare. Make a reservation because it gets packed! The wine list is especially part of a Koi day.

Second time to KOi, first found this place in LA, had a great time. This time was good. A bit too busy, so the service could have been better, waited too long between courses, but after a long day around NYC whos complaining.

The very good is for the food. The space is a little above average although feels tight in areas. Everything else about the place was average. I think they have a Soho location which I may try. For now I still prefer Tao and Morimoto.

After seeing ON the Town we walked through Bryant Park and had dinner at Koi. It was a wonderful experience. The waiter suggested several specialty appetizers and we made a meal of four of them. We came early and the attention from the staff and manager were very professional and helpful. The quality and even size of the portions was... More
