FINE PLACE TO TIMES SQ. AREA LUNCH

With the sudden closing of my go to lunch place in Times Sq. area -- Dukc's -- I quickly had to find a new venue for a business lunch. Jack's was recommended by a co-worker and it was better than just fine. A little upscale, with well presented and slightly creative familiar sandwiches and meals... read more

We were able to walk right into the restaurant without a reservation. The Brunch menu posted outside looked reasonable and your first glass of champagne was free. We ordered the Eggs Benedict, French Toast and Bagel and Lox. Eggs Benedict was OK, not very much Hollandaise sauce, but eggs cooked perfectly. Potatoes that came with it were awesome. French Toast,... More

Stepped in off a hectic street into a warm and welcoming place. Immediate attention from Lar at front -of-house and despite not having reservations, we were ushered to a booth without any fuss. He excels at assessing a customer's needs and promptly seats customers according to what best is available. Excellent waiting staff, friendly, attentive and mindful of their customers.... More

My friend had the pork. We only managed the entree - had planned dessert but they served bread & olive oil to start while we waited. I had cod with sweet potato, corn & bacon in cream sauce. Yum yum! Cost $50 for two mains & 2 glasses of wine. Good portions & well cooked.

Went to Jacks while in NYC and had great food and service. I got the pork tenderloin which was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. My boyfriend had the salmon which was cooked perfectly. Had the tiramisu for dessert which was delicious. Also we were celebrating our anniversary and got 1 set of free drinks.... More

We went to Jacks restaurant while we were visiting NYC at Christmas time. What a great meal! We sat in a booth in the back, very relaxing from shopping & walking. The food was delicious & the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a great meal!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
