Well-located right across from Katz's Deli, and has a very wide range of flavors. Some of them are super weird, like spicy Thai chocolate. Not all of them are good, but the gelato itself is excellent. Flavors are of course personal preference. Kind of a big store, but seating is surprisingly limited - I guess all the extra space is... Just accross the street in front of of Katz's Deli, St. east houston corner lodlow st, and you can taste a great ice cream. A real "italian Gelato"; the material used are real fresh, no aromas synthesis; I try a great mint flavor, with inside small pieces of fresh mint, with a dark chocolate. It's strange, I know, but it... More

I can't say I agree with most of the reviewers here. The flavors were good, but the whole consistency was wrong. The gelato I had was hard due to too low a temperature, a cardinal sin for gelato. Even the person behind the counter said she didn't know why it was so hard. And the sorbet had the consistency of... More

Absolutely adored this place& the exotic flavours! The queue system wasn't overly efficient but it was worth the wait. You get two free taste samples & thereafter it's 50c! There didn't seem to be a standard chocolate so we got the Thai chilli chocolate & it was the most incredible delight I've ever experienced in gelato. At first taste it's... More

We first found this place when it was in a tiny "hole" under the tenement museum. It's new location is huge and feels kind of sterile but this allows them to have an incredible assortment of creative flavors of gelato and ices (they claim 300 but not all are available every day). It's a great place to stop on a... More

We came here because of the reputation for great ice cream. That didn't disappoint. BUT expect to have bad customer service AND you should know that you're only allowed to try 2 Flavors before purchasing (any trials after the 2nd cost $0.50/trial) - rather expensive!!! Such a shame because their ice cream is great.

We found this place while strolling at the Lower East Side and fell in love with the unique and tasty icecream. It's just perfect! They have original flavours and it was a great refreshment in a very busy day.

Two tastes for free, and I suggest you use them because where else can you taste wasabi gelato or hibiscus?? I wasn't going to get a whole serving (opted for salted carmel and chocolate with crushed almonds instead), but hey, the wasabi had me asking for it a rice bowl instead of a cone or a cup! Worth the trip,... More

The range of flavors here are amazing: black sesame, thai chili chocolate, lemon verbena sorbet--they have over 300. But beware! they only allow you 2 tastings, so choose carefully. All of it was full flavored and delicious.
