One of America's most successful restaurants, this New York steakhouse opened in 1977 and has been a hit ever since. Amazing lemon pepper chicken, great filet

Went to the grill side. Service was excellent. The Roast Beef Hash was excellent Adan appetizer: beef, egg, potatoes (have the server mix it for you at the table and add ketchup and hot sauce). The Mac &cheese and grilled asparagus were good. The filet was much better than the ribeye (our group had... read more

Great steaks, good sides, loved the appetizers. Must go with reservations only, otherwise be ready to wait. Steaks were done to our likeness, service was courteous and friendly, but too noisy. in our party of four we had to speak quite loudly to hear our own conversation. I would like to enjoy my steak and wine in a quieter surroundings,... More

We went to eat at this grill following a native NY tour guide's suggestion. We ordered the roast beef hash dish as recommended along with their signature coconut cake. Every bite of the hash was perfectly prepared and heavenly. The cake was my personal favorite -- it was creamy, moist and decadent. Laced with a delicious orange sauce and scoop... More

Our favorite steakhouse in Manhattan.......though Peter Luger is still our favorite in New York. Food is fabulous. Staff is terrific and it has the look of an old world New York steakhouse. We were there on a night when it was energetic but not noisy. Sat downstairs. Loved it. Sharing is a good idea.........We shared chopped tomatoes and onions with... More

We came following a suggestion from an Uber driver. I loved the atmosphere and hearing of the buildings long history, but the meal was average. I did not have anything that was bad, but nothing that knocked my socks off. I very much enjoyed the bar keep from Dublin, he was a pleasure to speak with and to watch.

We had lunch in the restaurant and it was well worth the experience. The filet mignon is superb, the best steak we've had in New York, and the lobster looked excellent although we didn't try it. The service was very good with a nice follow up from the Manager during and after the meal. Will definitely return when back in... More

This 1977 landmark restaurant is the original of the brands you see around the US (I recently had a great lunch in the Miami location) and the two story building itself is worth seeing. The staff are attentive and the place seemed to be busy non-stop. The food, excellent and more than one can really eat if you ask me.

I just had to try it, and it was just EXCELLENT.. not cheap, but sometimes you just have to afford it :) Very busy, very crowded, adn not much place to each table.. but if you are here for the food and not the romantic evening it is OK.. The steak was fantastic, excellent service...

The steak was cold and tasteless. The steak sauce did not offer improvement. For a steak house this was a big disappointment. Tables are on top of each other. Shrimp cocktail, lobster cocktail and oysters were actually the best part of the meal. Lamb chops were also cold and overly greasy. Wine list extensive but exorbitantly priced. Not a place... More
