Great business spot for lunch in mid-town new york city, amazing burgers and great over all services.
out with a group of friends. had a reservation and were promptly seated. really good menu. choice of everything from steaks, chops, and seafood. seafood tower appetizer was a hit. place is lively so you have to talk loud. if you do not mind the cost, this is a wonderful place to eat
Completely packed on a saturday evening, you start wondering what all these people come for. The wine advised to us was bad; not a wrong bottle: just a bad wine. Fortunately they offered another after our asking. Why would you advise this bottle in the first place? Meat was OK, but nothing special. The worst was yet to come. After... More
Overall great experience. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was prototypical New York City.
We did not have a booking at Smith & Wollensky we just walked in off the street, service at the start was quite slow and dragged on but when our Steaks arrived this made up for everything, food was amazing and we really enjoyed. We thought this was the best Steak we had ever had, can wait to go back... More

We ordered the Seafood platter as starters to cater for the staggered arrivals and... More
First visited s&w about 20 years ago, and it hasn't changed thank goodness! This time I had a prime rib,and never had better! Great steaks, superb service, and although quite expensive it's great value. Share the side dishes they are big enough for 3!

There was no attempt to create a harmonious plate of food. Just a heap of steak, with hash browns and broccoli... More

The scallops were kind of flavorless, and served on a huge bed or rice which didn't add (or distract I suppose) to the meal. The lemon butter sauce was a bit... More
