Once again, an excellent meal

We recently stayed at The Metro Hotel to which this restaurant is attached and have eaten here before. This time we were there for lunch and it was again, very good. I chose one of the specials, a meatloaf dish and my wife chose a fish one. Both were of good portions and including drinks, the whole... read more

We came here out of convenience as we were staying next door and wished we had of gone further afield. My clam chowder tasted more like canned vegetable soup, the gnocchi was chewey and overcooked and my wife's fish and chips were tasteless. The waitress was more interested in talking to her friends than providing any sort of service and... More

We ate in this restaurant whilst staying in the hotel, we was a bit disappointed. Felt sorry for the one waitress working and trying to serve everyone, she didn't look particularly happy. The food was ok, nothing special and felt it was pretty expensive for what we got which was a shame. Sadly there didn't feel like there was any... More

Metro Grill doesn't pretend to be a fine dining experience, but the food was fine, no complaints. The service was quick and friendly.

We only used the Metro Grill twice during our stay, the first time after our first day of sightseeing. Having returned, quite tired, we didn't want to spend time shopping around, so the restaurant being linked to our hotel was ideal. Food and service were fine and were both topped off with easy listening background music. Our second visit was... More

We had a great meal and a pitcher of sangria last night at the Metro Grill, the restaurant attached to the Metro Hotel in W35th. I enjoyed a succulent huge serving of roast chicken. It was cooked to perfection and served with a delicious (but not overpowering) Maderia jus. My husband enjoyed traditional fish and chips served in an envelope... More

Great lunch in this "hotel" restaurant. Food was fresh and very flavorful. The mussels with marinara was excellent. The marinara sauce exploded with flavor. Service by Louis was great. Will definitely go back.

Very good choice of food but not cheap. Happy hour is good for getting a good size glass of wine at a reasonable price be careful where you sit in the restaurant as not all tables are eligible for happy hour.

This restaurant is attached to the Hotel Metro and if your staying at the hotel you get a 15% discount. The restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. We had lunch one day and then dinner the next evening, the food was delightful

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
