We ate here on a recent visit to New York because the Grill is attached to the hotel where we stayed and we had eaten here on a previous visit. We ordered our food and it wasn't long before it arrived and was delicious, I had omelet and my husband had a chicken sandwich, unfortunately the service was lacking and... More

having stayed at the hotel metro a few times I have always found the staff, food, service and general setting of this place a total enjoyable experience. The food first class, excellent choice of wine and friendly people who engage in conservation naturally. I had there light lunch of soup and wrap this week and really enjoyed it. Sat in... More

The Metro Grill is attached to the Hotel Metro and offers guests staying at the hotel a 15% discount. The menu is good with just enough choice not to bombard you and make your selection hard. The steak was lovely, nicely cooked and great taste. Not cheap but not too expensive, ideal if you don't want to walk far after... More

We craved a quiet, lovely dinner after an intense Manhattan business day. Having chosen poorly the night before, we stepped in for a splash and a look at the Metro Grill menu. After salivating over a few dishes served to solo bar diners, we sat down and enjoyed a delicious meal, a divine wine surprise from a small but well-selected... More

Whilst holidaying in New York City, recently, my wife and I stayed in the Hotel Metro. We tried to use the breakfast room but found it was always full so we decided to use the Metro Grill, which is part of the hotel. It is brilliant! The staff are superb and very efficient, friendly and helpful. Particular commendations go to... More

The metro grill is part of the Metro hotel. Service is very good as we didn't book but they sorted a table quickly. They have a good choice of food and drink, particularly the wine list. The kitchen is visible to the customer so you can see the food being cooked. Toilet facities are good and clean. If you stop... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
