Best ramen in New york city?

It's definitely in the top 5 for sure. 5 types of noodles and plenty of broth options. We ordered the Minca Shoyu Ramen bowl which is made using pork bone broth, mongolion salt and roast garlic flavor. To accompany the bowl you get negi, egg, bamboo, seaweed, pork belly, mushrooms and bonito... read more

Decent ramen but far from the best in NYC. The broth and noodles were OK, but was disappointed that both the meat and the eggs in the ramen were cool in the middle and had clearly just been taken out of the fridge before being tossed into the bowl. One thing worth noting: we waited in line for about 20... More

Minca is a decent ramen house, and seems pretty traditional. There's a limited number of appetizers offered, but the gyoza was on point. The ramen is decent. Wasn't really a big fan of the spicy miso ramen, but the garlic shio tsukemen was delicious. The broth was concentrated, yet not overbearingly rich, and is probably the best I've had in... More

Came with the kids and it was a bit early so not many people there. The waitress we super kind to my daughter who had a loose tooth that was hurting. She gave her warm tea and had the noodles cooked longer so they would be softer. The food was really nice, came super quickly and the service was impeccable.... More

Dearest Minca, Please marry me. Seriously. Your delicious food and amazing service is only the tip of a scrumptious iceburg. Whenever I visit NYC, we HAVE to go to Minca. Even if there's a 45 minute wait. I don't care. This place has it all. You choose what kind of ramen broth you prefer, you can switch out the pork... More

I'm staying with a friend in East Village for a week and asked him for a list of his favorite restaurants. He told.me about Minca Ramen Factory. I love Ramen. I've eaten in SF, China, Japan, and Korea. So I decided to go to Minca my first evening in the area. I was not dissapointed. The food is the real.deal.... More

We had to wait for 20 minutes outside for the table to be available fir us. But the orders were accepted before we even entered the restaurant. Service was excellent. Excellent food, so many varieties to choose from. Mine was vegetarian ramen and spicy too! Wow!

I went to have dinner with a friend on a Thursday night, the wait was not very long but it was a late dinner when we arrived, the place is really small so I would go for an early dinner or late night. We order the miso spicy ramen and the regular spicy broth ramen, both of them were delicious... More

The evening was -14 and growing colder. I had been recommended the restaurant and had just arrived from the UK and had to eat. I made the special journey down to the LES and joined the queue of keen diners waiting outside. The wait was around 40 mins ... it was freezing but well worth the wait, I got a... More

I visited minca last nigh with a couple of friends and I was so surprised with the quality of their ramen! it was so well cooked!I previously tried 7 different ramen in NYC but wasn't completely happy. This however was the first time I completely finished all of it. I'm definitely coming back here every time I'll be around

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
