My god is this an expensive experience. For the price, I was really expecting more. I LOVE a good tea service and there was really just nothing that special about this one. It was lovely but, as I said before, for the price I expected more. The tea was good, the sandwiches were clearly prepared in advance and the bread... More

We had a wonderful experience at the Palm Court. Madeline was working the check-in table, and was kind and courteous in checking our bags (there were many). Yes, it's expensive, but the sandwiches were enough to fill us all up, and the teas, particularly the Des Amants, were lovely. We found the service to be on point, though we were... More

Sandwiches were hard at the edges The Maitre D' was aloof the service was poor we were never offered a second cup of coffee or a fresh pot of tea not even hot water . At $115 each a disgrace.

Luxury doesn't come cheep. We did the afternoon Tea. It was really very nice. The disappointing thing is that the sandwiches are pre-made so no customizing anything. And seriously, no customizing, when this is a couple of hours ordeal, I don't see why they couldn't. But I don't run it. It really was a great experience.

My wife love Afternoon Teas as a treat. We use to love The Palm Court - NOT Anymore. After being redesigned by Jeffrey Zakarian, the restaurant lost its old time charm and elegance. It is now a modern mess - even our server agreed with us. In fact, he said the serving staff were not even asked for their input.... More

Everyone should try this at some point. The Hotel is so beautiful and elegant. The service was top notch. We all tried different tiers. I had the kids one and it as amazing. The scones, etc. I would especially recommend this at Christmastime because it is just amazing. Can't wait to go again next year. I also thought the price... More

My daughter and I recently visited New York City over the Christmas holiday and decided a traditional tea was the perfect idea to get us in the holiday spirit. The Plaza didn't disappoint....it was so beautiful. When we walked into the Plaza it was like going back in time, the gorgeous Crystal chandeliers, marble columns and extravagant flower arrangements were... More

I thought the experience would be better especially around Christmas. I got the New Yorker to share which is an extra $30 and was disappointed with the little amount we got, however everything tasted great

We took my mom (79th birthday) for afternoon tea at the Palm Court. Overall, it was fun and tea was good but it was pricey with not that great of service. And if you need to use the ladies room, be prepared to take a hike. The hotel has been designed to let "outsiders" in to spend money but you... More

My daughter-in-law, daughter and I had afternoon tea there yesterday and we had a delightful time. The atmosphere, the wait staff, and the food were just lovely. We happened upon this opportunity by chance, as we had headed to the Plaza to grab some lunch in the Oak Room, but it was closed due to a private event (as have... More
