Funky wooden tables, lots of locals and amazing beer. Fun, noisy, crowded and full of happy folks. Did I say great beer?

A real bavarian place in NYC, they serve a lot of authentic German variety of beer, as well as foods. Atmosphere is vibrant, like in Southern Germany at a Biergarten. Going back next time I'm in NY

This is a great little neighborhood spot. We stopped by on a Sunday evening. The weather was perfect so we sat outside. It was very busy, but our waitress took very good care of us. The outside area was a little tight, but that didn't bother us one bit as we had friendly people all around. The food was great,... More

This is an unassuming watering hole in the East Village. You can sit out for a mug of beer, weather permitting. The food is ok and inexpensive.

Was there for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Great atmosphere with cool live oompah music. Food was good but did not wow me. For what you get it's on the pricier side.

There are a number of places called beer gardens in the US that market themselves as German because they serve beer in large glasses and serve cheap American hotdogs and call them wurst. Real German food, even at moderately priced pubs in Germany, has a wide variety of great tastes, with delicate fresh vegetables and salads, light and airy noodles... More

Very good standard Bavarian dishes accompanied by the best of German DRAUGHT BEERS! Imagine Schneiderweiss on tap! A way out in ABC City but worth the trip is you are looking for good German food in Manhattan. Lively and informal, reasonably priced, the sausages were vey authentic.

I am Bavarian and since we don't have a lot of Bavarian restaurants in Montreal (and feeling a bit homesick) I was really excited to try this place. And I was not disappointed. It felt like eating out on a Sunday at a local Bavarian restaurant with my parents. I ordered the Schweinebraten and it was delicious! The gravy was... More

Great potato pancakes. Excellent beer selection. Delicious pretzel. I was I town for the marathon, so I had to carb up and the pancakes were perfect. My friends had some sausages and the all looked delicious.
