How this place made it to the top 10% of NY restaurants on Trip Advisor is a mystery to me. I went there an evening because it was near my Hotel and I wanted something quick to eat before crashing to bed. I was the only person in the whole place for a long time, then I was joined by... More

I've been coming to zaitzeff for years and am sad about them closing their 2nd ave location. The burgers at zaitzeff are the best burgers in my opinion. Whether you're having regular burgers or Kobe, you'll be happy about the taste. The prices are a little steep but the quality of the ingredients are there. The service is very quick... More

I has a 1/4 Kobe burger at Zaitzeff. It was good and juicy but left me very hungry. Prices are too expensive for very small portions. The place has communal sitting which I found to be nice, even though it can be too packed once 8 people are already dining in. Zaitzeff is certainly a good alternative for other places... More

Went there for lunch and paid for a burger, diet coke and some fries USD 28. The food was excellent but it is just toooooo expensive and I am not sure whether their patties are worth USD 10 (when seeing the prices for the sandwiches).

The burgers were delicious, but the fries were very oily and the place is not good. So make sure you order at home or take away! Otherwise you gonna arrive home smelling oil!!!

Wonderful burgers, delicious and cooked to the point. You could taste the quality. Loved the fries as well, only thing that bothered me was the seating - I'd have preferred a real restaurant.

Meat: really really good. Cooked perfectly and very tasty. Toppings: average. Bread: I'm not a big fan of these Portuguese muffins, I'd rather stick for a classic brioche bun. Fries: generous portion but not great tasting, too greasy. Overall: a great burger, probably one of the best in the area, but overpriced. For two 1/4 Lb burgers with fries TO... More

Absolutely loved it here and even managed to go back again during our trip. The kobe beef burgers are really special. And served with toppings such as bacon cheese and jalapeños they are even better. If you like avocado you have to try it on the burgers. The regular Idaho fries are great but the sweet potato ones are incredible.... More

This is a different class of burger. We just aren't conditioned to paying $20 for a takeout burger and fries so we generally treat it as a splurge. Both the Kobe and sirloin burgers are nearly perfect every time and the fries are usually top notch too. Side note, the breakfast sandwich they serve before 11am is amazing. Definitely check...
