It was supposed to be an awesome place with all this history. Just an average place with a grouchy waiter. We ate there for breakfast it was good but how can you mess that up? Way overpriced even for Manhattan. Plenty of better places in the area.

We visited lindys for lunch due to convenience from the bus tour and we had heard great things about the cheesecake. After we were shown to our table our order was taken. We had to ask for glasses of water. My husbands meal arrived about 10 minutes before mine did and so he had finished his before I could begin... More

I was pretty shocked to see that single slices of cheesecake were about $11. I nonetheless got the cherry cheesecake since it was a "famous" place. It was good. I enjoyed it. Thought it was too pricey, but I enjoyed it.

Had a breakfast here, my bagel and cheese was lovely and my partner opted for the big breakfast but it wasn't that big, the sausages were tiny and the bacon was thin on the ground. Okay food but the staff were lovely

This place was great for lunch, breakfast and dinner. They open really early and have beautiful meals. Really great selection of all foods, from fine breakfasts to top end dinner meals.

The service is very poor the food is good but pricy compared to the completion. It survives on reputation

Hubby got sick after his pot roast sandwich. It looked a bit sad. My hamburger was ok but the highest I have paid is about $15.This hamburger was $20+ dollars. Crazyness....Just too high. All in all over priced and a street Deli like the Gourmet Deli was so much better quality and less costly.

Second time I ate at this restaurant. Caddy corner to Sheraton and very convenient to run in but food is very expensive and just okay. Always packed so you wait and feel like you are waiting for something good and then its just disappointing.

I am not really into cheesecakes and dessert but we came here for lunch because we couldn't find anywhere nearby that we knew of. I had steak and I did enjoy it, but it wasn't extravagant. The atmosphere was like a typical American diner with black and white photographs on the walls. I did not try the cheesecake so I... More

Had breakfast here and the service was very good. Omelet was also good but at $18 I felt too pricey. Great selections but seemed just too expensive even for New York City.
