For our 1st full day in New York we wanted the authentic American diner experience and after walking through Time Square we headed up towards Central Park - Lindy's we found situated between the 2 on Ave We didn't realise this at the time - but for breakfast - American's love either omelette's or grilled cheese toasties. It seems to... More

We were looking for somewhere for breakfast, didn't realise how much the food was, at least 5 dollars for instant porridge.....waitress had appalling manners, walked away whilst talking to us then snapped when we asked her to repeat, ended up leaving before food or drinks arrived as this was all within the first few minutes!!! Wouldn't recommend this and could... More

Sure you pay more for name but 5 bucks for a coffee and you get fake creamer....please. 2 bucks more than dunking donuts right across 7th ave. Triple decker sandwich was very good and big enough to share. Bill for 2 coffees order of fries and sandwich totaled 43 bucks

We should have checked on line but spotted the "tripadvisor" sticker on the Lindy's at 53rd and 7th Ave. so went on in. Our first strike We cannot figure out how or why they would proudly display "tripadvisor" because there's a reason so many of the ratings are poor or terrible. We stayed at a nearby hotel and were looking... More

New York has the best sandwiches... Lindy's Deli has the best corn beef and pastrami sandwiches. Even the lemonade was great. You can sit outside and enjoy the city while munching your sandwiches. Just great!

For a SW Florida resident , I know I must accept a certain level of grunge along with the historical aspect of landmark dining while traveling in the north. Sorry, Lindys. - you are just too grubby and worn to justify the expense. The food and service were adequate. - the prices crazy high for the moderate quality and the... More

Stopped in for cheesecake after a night out. Had a seat on the patio and we ate some of the best cheesecake we have ever had. The only drawback was the price. 12 bucks a slice. The slice is generous but ouch.

The food here was really good and the staff were very friendly. Service was good and you could choose to eat inside or outside. I would recommend eating outside and enjoying the atmosphere. I thought prices were reasonable.

We stopped here for breakfast after going to a Broadway show. Sadly, we ordered before looking at the reviews on TripAdvisor. Horrible food, horrible service, and outrageous prices. I have had better at Denny's. Run far away.

The hostess was clueless. Brought us to a table but did not give us menus or tell the server we were there. Had to ask for and wait for waiter. Food was fair. Some prices were ridiculous; for example grilled cheese with tomato and bacon: $18.00. Wish we kept walking to find another place for a light dinner. Had to... More
