2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2014 NEW

Visited Lindy's in August 2014. Ordered 2 meals. One was good and the other meal was average. The hot chips ( fries ) were cold and noted the ground around the outdoor eating area was dirty with papers and small bits of rubbish littered the ground. It did'nt look good. I also noted whilst still eating, wait staff came to... More

We went there for breakfast ecause it was close to our hotel. One of the biggest disappointments of our trip. After waiting 15 minutes for three of our four drinks to come out, the poached eggs were cooked to within an inch of their lives and the potatoes were terrible. It was very overpriced. After the time it took to... More

We especially went to Lindy's for the cheesecake, and were not disappointed. The cheesecake is awesome.

Very expensive food for what you get. We had breakfast here and it was four times the price I'd pay for back home (suburb of Chicago). The potatoes were cold and the eggs were nothing exceptional. On the plus side it is in a good location and we were served attentively.

The food was, ok. The service was, ok. The prices were, very expensive for a low end eatery. We ate breakfast there, food was, just OK. We went back late one evening to get cheesecake and coffee... noticed the dessert prices were higher at night than earlier in the day.... hmm? Very stingy with coffee, you will wait forever for... I went twice and both times it wasn't crazy busy but we waited for a long time for even our drinks and it only got longer from there. But the staff was nice! The food was good, not the "best I've ever had" but definitely good! The outside seating is great for lunch, plus you get to people watch! :)

Called for breakfast. Most expensive meal we had in New York. Food was ok nothing special. Cutlery was not clean. Coffee was awful, but the thing that really got me was the price 86 dollars admittedly we got 2 slices of cheesecake to go but 86 dollars does not represent value for money. Would I go again. Definitely not.

I'd heard that Lindy's cheesecake is fantastic and we were in need of a snack too. My daughter ordered French Toast that was challah bread. It was mediocre in size/taste and was $18!!! I ordered potato knish's. They were gross. My soft drink was $4.25 which was NEVER refilled. The waiter was NOT attentive and seemed annoyed to be doing... More

Couldn't get into Carnegie's Deli so went here instead. Not the best choice, should have waited at Carnegie's. Service was non-existent if not slow. None of the servers seemed to care if they waited on you or not. They did not care if the food was served cold either. Food was not that bad, if that is a compliment. Had... More

We paid more for our breakfast than we paid for more for a dinner. 2 terrible coffees (that were covered with weak maple syrup) were the same price as my 2 blueberry pancakes. I make better pancakes. The 1 star was for the fresh fruit that was used and that's it.
