Cozy Italian place

Service was good. Server could have been a little more attentive. Food was excellent and came out in a timely fashion. Location is great.....close to theaters.

Ate here with my family whilst on a short visit to NY. I am not a food critic or a "whinger" - I just appreciate decent, well prepared food and a good value (which doesn't necessarily mean cheap). Restaurant was pleasant inside though service was patchy through the meal. Bottled water on the table and despite asking - a jug... More

We stopped on a fluke. The owner came outside and answered our questions about his cuisine and spoke Italian to my uncle who doesn't speak English. Food takes a little time but it's all worth the wait. Gnocchi was fresh and made to order. They made me a Neapolitan sauce not on the menu. All pasta is handmade. Wonderful experience!

We stumbled on this hidden gem, complete with white tableclothes and fine china. We had so wanted to experience really authentic NYC italian food, and this place did not disappoint. The wait staff was very attentive, and made sure our wine glasses were never empty. The location is convenient to both Times Square and 5th Avenue shops.

Great service since we got there, the food was also very good and generously served. They include a tip suggestion in your check, it was fair for the service we got so we didn't change it. The food is fairly priced. Felt like one time is enough though, great but I'd rather try other places.

a nice italian tucked away close to 5th avenue. not overpriced, good portions and very tasty. An over zealous owner hand wrote and double circled the tip on the receipt which to us brits felt a little pushy given that we had waited for our food and had to ask for tap water as we were only offered the expensive... This is a very small traditional Italian restaurant located 46 just from 5 (next door to the Times hotel) Not knowing the area, we just stepped in to see what it was. After walking all over New York, we were no looking forward to another foot adventure. Very Quaint. Great service. Prices reasonable for NY. I had Lamb and the... More

We have been here our first evening in NYC. From the outside this place looks good. Friendly waiter directs you to the table. Table was almost too small for four. Room smells, but not like cocci a italiana. Ordered some very simple pasta. Pata was cooked to the point but what came with it in all four cases lacked taste... More

I have been half a dozen times for lunch. Very good pasta, especially the varieties with seafood. I have brought visitors here as well, and they have enjoyed it. And thee salads are not only good, but large enough to share.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
