Nice late dinner

Stopped by for a late dinner after a show. Food was good and service was friendly. Piano was a little loud but we were able to sit across the restaurant and were able to talk.

Another win in NYC located right down the street from our hotel. Freshly cooked Italian food, quick service, and friendly staff all around. They had a piano player performing when we arrived which was enjoyable. I would suggest you try it out.

Went to Mimi's for dinner on Saturday, June 27th. Chose Mimi's because of its closeness to our hotel on 48th and Lexington. Whenever I am in NYC, I always try to find some good, authentic Italian places. This place is now at the top of my list, surpassing others that I have dined at in Little Italy! The restaurant is... My friend and I have lived only 4 or so blocks from Mimi's for many years. About every 5 years we go back for one more try. Always the same mediocre food. I'm always sorry I wasted my money. I don't understand why the place is generally crowded, especially the weekends. Angelo's just up the block is far better in... More

If you are looking for a god meal in a friendly setting with a wonderful piano bar, this is the place. Check out the pedestrians walking by, enjoy the good music and have a terrific meal at this east side gem.

We wished we had visited the restaurant sooner. We stayed at the apt on 52nd street and passed by Mimi's everyday and decided to try it on our last evening in NY. The food was delicious- my husband had lasagna that he absolutely loved and I had this chicken with egg batter and cooked in white wine, I cant remember... More

Our waitress was excellent. I was celebrating my birthday and the owner gave us free drinks to help with the celebration. The Calamari was my favorite dish. However, my veal was tender, moist and delicious. We enjoyed the piano player and he even let me sing while he played. We will return again when back in the city!!

I was staying with friends one block away and dined here twice for dinner. Pasta portions were large, tasty and filling. Service was good, piano bar in full swing one evening & people watching out the sidewalk windows was classic New York! Nice spot.

Mimi's is a n=ice little Italian restaurant in Manhattan that reminds me of hour good Italian was before too many tried to modernise. Good hearty traditional dishes at a reasonable price with excellent service

Great and party place to go at night. The piano player was a real show man, and the food, just fantastic. Once my husband has some dietary restrictions, the staff was very kind and prompt to adapt whatever was necessary from the menu to our needs. Fantastic atmosphere and value.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
