Good Japanese food near Times Square

Seriously just walk 5 min to reach this little gem instead of all the chain restaurants at Times Square. Good food at reasonable prices. Enough said.

The serve great Japanese food -just blocks away from Times Square. We usually dine here after work at least once per month. Sushi and traditional Japanese plates are really good. Fish is fresh and great taste. Selection of beers is limited but bigger Sake selection. Never had a problem in 4 years. Service is average though. Price are average which... More

Be a little wary of the quality of fish fried in tempura! I didn't even have any sashimi but spent all night in the bathroom. Great way to end my holiday, thanks.

We went here after a long day exploring the city. We ordered a jug of Sake Sangria, and it was unbelievably delicious! We finished it pretty fast that's for sure! The food was delicious, we got about 4 rolls to share between the two of us. We ended up going again near the end of our trip it was so... More

Visited this place from a recommendation. We ordered a few things of the menu and Otoro (Fatty tuna) which wasn't on the menu. The service was good, the chefs were good. I mean, this is a good to-go place when you're in a mood for real Japanese food.

We spent 6 nights in Brooklyn and made the trip twice to the Iroha. The food is amazing, Their udon is to die for and you can tell that it was cooked in a rich and flavourful stock. Sashimi , nigiri and Sushi are quite expensive though. The staff is friendly and the restaurant has a nice vibe.

Authentically awesome for a good reason. Deservedly crowded. True Japanese specials not available at many other eateries. Fast, polite service -- sometimes hard to understnd, but it makes the experience there all the more authentic.

I found this through trip advisor and it was really good. It is a very small place with two saloons... The one at the front ia apparently always busy, so do not hesitate to ask if they have a table available. The food was great, the sushi was amazing; my kids enjoyed it very much

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
