Consistently good, never busy, basic menu - high quality food and of course, great bread and really good coffee makes The Vinegar Factory a regular of ours. The location upstairs from Eli's flagship store, means a convenient shop for delicacies on the way home is a must. The east side river walk begins nearby to help walk off breakfast and... More

Went to Brunch here on Mothers day. It was an interesting experience. I thought that the menu was varied enough so that everyone in our group could find something they would like. There was everything from Omelets to Salads to Chicken Pot Pie. I had the country omelet with hash browns. The omelet was very good and cooked perfectly. The... More

nice selection for a quick breakfast, croissant and coffee. Store looked fantastic (we walked around it) but wasn't really open yet so not everything was out

Great place for brunch and fancy food gifts. We were a family of 6 and the service was very attentive. Lox and eggs were delicious.

On a Saturday afternoon you could shoot a cannon across the upstairs restaurant and not hit a person. I'm new to this neighborhood so I'm strolling the streets to discover my new home. From the exterior, and I crossed the street to see what the Vinegar Factory was, it resembled Brooklyn Brewery in Williamsburg. But it's not that. There's a... More

Everyone that worked there was very nice. Not really what I thought it was going to be. Has potential, but it's like they just don't care anymore. I had the feeling I was having breakfast at a retirement home.

Very expensive! Shoot a couple of blocks over and checkout Mayfair.

The lox and bagel served for breakfast is nothing special. In fact, they couldn't give you any less cream cheese if they tried. The capers just taste like salt. And it will cost you $16++. On the other hand the lunch is quite good, with excellent self-serve soups and sandwiches. The atmosphere is NYC deli.

I did my homework and this place is 30-40% more expensive than UES when it comes to groceries. Great bread and great choice. Brunch is good.
