Nice place

My family and I called in for a drink and cake. Service was very good and drinks and food were reasonably prices. Our girls had some good cake. I'd imagine it was very good of an evening.

Very eclectic crowd with the common interest being Boston sports. Good burgers and a great Sunday brunch for patriots games. Beer and drink specials for the games. A good time unless the Sox or Pats lose, and that's not the Riviera's fault

Been here twice, first time in may 2014 and now in october 2015. Both experiences were good. Love the sangria, and love their burgers. The draft beer selcetion could be better!

We were two couples visiting New York - we had been spending the day sight seeing and decided to catch the PATH train from Christopher street back to Newark where we staying. On the way we found the Riviera Cafe and decided to have dinner here - and what a good idea that was! The service was excellent and speedy... More

We came here in the couple hours we had before our flight home, just stumbled upon it as we were walking, and it was a great surprise! They have an $11 lunch special for a meal and drink (soda, wine, Margarita), and we ordered the Turkey&Brie sandwich, as well as the burrito, which both came with french fries. Kind of... More

I went to this restaurant to watch the Packers pre-season opener. Started off with the clam chowder. It was incredibly bland and watery. Tried the veggie burger and it was also very bland and lacked seasoning. Definitely will not be back.

We're sorry to hear this. We took the veggie burger off the menu last week. Some loved it, some hated it. Had you sent back the clam chowder the kitchen would have corrected it. Sincerely, Steve and Mauricio More

We stopped by for a quick dinner. Poor choice. The servers were apathetic and the food was relatively tasteless. The Thai salad was more of a salad with avocado, lettuce, and bean sprouts plus a weak peanut dressing

We sat outside at a small table. it was at 10pm at night and the lighting was terrible on the side of the building. Sorry Tom. We don't have ANY lighting on "the side of the building" and never have. If you wanted light all you had to do was ask and we could have re-located you to the front area outside where there is plenty of light. Gay Pride Day this year was overwhelming and we had everyone working "doubles" to take care... More

Set in Sheridan Square in the West Village, this is a great place for some inexpensive eats. The weekday lunch specials at 10 bucks, a nice selection of food and a drink, should not be missed. Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
