Good Irish Pub

Good food for a great price in New York. You can't turn a corner in Manhattan without running into an Irish restaurant and we've eaten at a few but this one wins. We had beer battered onion rings for an appetizer, a pulled pork sandwich, a burger and a few glasses of wine and got out for under $50... read more

Visited PJ Carneys on a recent Saturday afternoon with my wife. Great service and food was awesome. Prices are very reasonable for being in the heart of the city.Came in here over twenty years ago with my late Dad and I can still remember him saying how it was what a tavern was supposed to be. Well, the owners have... More

Visited for dinner during our trip to nyc. Food was terrible, ordered fish & chips which was inedible. Pointed out to server when she eventually returned & she decided to argue over our complaint. Very rude member of staff & we would never visit there again

Wife and kids had burgers and fries. I had the fish and chips. All 3 of them loved the burgers. The fish was heavily battered and the fries just ok. I was actually able to pull the fish out of the batter an just eat it that way. Much better. Service was ok. Not what I would consider a great... More

My favourite bar in NYC. This bar has the most charming atmosphere in all of NewYork. Good old school bar. Not many of its kind left. Amazing windows for people watching whilst you enjoy beautiful French Martinis. Close proximity to Central Park. Bartenders are an amazing group of people! Food is basic pub grub but hits the spot every time.... More

Without a doubt - one of the very best Irish Bars in Manhattan. Was one of my locals when I lived in NYC ten years ago and the bar is still run by Philomena and Geraldine. Huge choice of beers and spirits - and great bar food. The place is always buzzing and is full of both locals and visitors.... More

You always hear that New York is the city that never sleeps, but at times I still find it hard to find a decent restaurant in the wee hours, well if you are near the park some night after midnight and still need something to eat you will be well served and pleased with PJ Carneys, and probably entertained, It's... Wherever you go there's an Irish bar and NYC is no exception. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, the drinks were on the expensive side, as expected! I would recommend a meal here .

I enjoy stopping into this small, friendly pub for a quick and delicious burger and beverage from time to time. The wait staff is extremely friendly and professional. It has become a "go to" place to meet friends on our way home from work during baseball's post season. Tonight, P.J. Carney's was a lively and respectful venue for World Series... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
