Great food and service

Wherever you go there's an Irish bar and NYC is no exception. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, the drinks were on the expensive side, as expected! I would recommend a meal here .

You always hear that New York is the city that never sleeps, but at times I still find it hard to find a decent restaurant in the wee hours, well if you are near the park some night after midnight and still need something to eat you will be well served and pleased with PJ Carneys, and probably entertained, It's... I enjoy stopping into this small, friendly pub for a quick and delicious burger and beverage from time to time. The wait staff is extremely friendly and professional. It has become a "go to" place to meet friends on our way home from work during baseball's post season. Tonight, P.J. Carney's was a lively and respectful venue for World Series... More

Went there for dinner. The food we ate was very good. No issues. Two minor things to note: 1) The menu on the web site was not the same as the one once we got there; 2) The service was average.

We've suffered through the service many times over the past year and unfortunately it's always the same waitress. So Sunday (against my will) we went to get a bite to eat and a cold beer after walking around the park. Sweaty and starving, we walked in to a less than half full, less than air conditioned Carney's. We sat at... More

We were meeting a business colleague in that area for a casual drink and light fare. None of us wanted anything fancy,(We did consider the Plaza) so our hotel concierge recommended it as an Irish Pub that the locals went. That was fine with us, since we wanted a place to sit and chat. The place is small, and a... More

The food was good and for NYC it didn't break the bank. Getting the food itself didn't take long, but don't expect the waitresses to go out of their way to check on you....we had to seek ours out to get the bill (never asked if we didn't refills, etc). Kind of loud but it is NYC so that is... More

Its happy hour is cheap for New York, but the customer service is terrible. The waitresses seem to enjoy ignoring you and get your request wrong, almost on purpose.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
