Delightfully surprises

This place had the 80s music going and I loved it. Even played an obscure Depeche Mode song. Perfect. Had the fish and chips and cheesecake for dessert. Cheesecake was perfect. Fish and chips was huge. Ok. Not too bready. But maybe a bit easier on the bread ? Either way. Would go again. Good value. Friendly staff.

We ended up here after walking around on our first night a bit tired & jet lagged not knowing what we really fancied to eat. Irish pub chain, with the usual burgers, steaks and some irish dishes on the menu. We had buffalo wings and a quesadilla for starters and both had burger for mains. Service was quick. Portions were... More

This is an excellent pub to pay a visit, in the heart of the theatre area...... Connolly's Pub was bustling with a superb atmosphere, bar staff were great interacting with every person at the bar.... Food was 1st class on both visits we paid them, the Angus Burger and Chicken pie were sublime. Some gourmet restraunts can't get a simple... More

My husband and I were in Times Square looking for a place to eat, that wasn't an overpriced chain, we found this place and weren't disappointed. We each had a special of lobster tail and petite filet. Prices were reasonable, service good. Nice atmosphere and views.

Today I met an old friend and business colleague at Connolly's on 54th. The last time I walked into this location was for an interview with an investment bank 15 years ago. Times have changed. No warm greeting and far fewer Irish folk. The menu is updated and the traditional fare is relegated to a small box on top of... More

The atmosphere is warm, food is hot, and beer is cold. Having more than 1 bartender working on a night when it's 3 deep at the bar would be a great move on management's part.

We spent a lot of time in Ireland last year so we crave everything Irish. Lunch at this place was good and the atmosphere friendly. The service was appropriate and prices reasonable compared to most Manhattan establishments. We ordered burghers and Reuben sandwich - both tasty. It is convenient also to stop here for dinner after a day at MoMa.

Headed to MoMA after a trip to tStatue of Liberty and Ground Zero. This was my preferred destination, but the gang found the restaurants in MoMA either too pricey or hoypooloy so wE went across the street to this fine pub. The Maitre d' was Irish as a Clancy and so was the Bartender. Not sure he appreciated my joke... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
