First i must say the food is excellent. That is the only good thing I can say about this dining experience. The building is a beautiful old townhouse. However do not expect to be seated in one of the nice upstairs rooms, those are reserved for groups. The night we were there celebrating our anniversary the nice upstairs room was... More

King's Carriage House at 251 E 82nd Street, in New York City is truly Fine Dining at its BEST. Dinner has a $49.00 prix fixe menu and the excellent Wine List is sure to help make this an expensive evening. But if you're looking for spectacular food, and impeccable friendly service in a petite, charming, romantic setting where you can... More

Intimate dining setting with impeccable service! The food was delicious and plentiful. We passed by many times and finally made reservations to celebrate Valentine's Day dinner. I love the pre-fixe and the fact that there are only just a few tables in this townhouse.

"Did" High Tea last year and tried lunch on a weekend day. Their fixed-price brunch/lunch menu is short but has something for everyone, and at $20.95 is well priced for what you get. Start with a salad or a fruit plate--the fruit, drizzled with yogurt and honey, was unbelievable delicious, raspberries and blackberries and some of the sweetest cantaloupe I've... More

I traveled in from Connecticut with a confirmed appointment of 11:30 a.m. with Paul to discuss using the venue for my daughter's upcoming bridal shower. (I confirmed the appointment with Elizabeth, the owner, previously.) I was told by a worker that Paul was not there yet but to sit and wait. He served me tea but no food. I waited... More

When you enter the city is left at the door. This restaurant has been here forever. We go usually for my daughter's birthday. They have created an ambience to put you back in time. The food is excellent as well as the service. You feel as if they are catering only to you. A casual and romantic spot. Jeremy T

This is a small restaurant in an old town house, with seating probably for about 12 on each floor.the ambience is out of this world, and you feel you are in the nineteenth century, and the food is absolutely superb, from appetizer to desert. It is a great place for romantic couples and is a true New YHork experience.Go there.

King's Carraige House manages to feel delightfully exclusive, like a secret club frequented by foodies and wine buffs in the know. The success of this lovely restaurant is the result of its fabulous cooking and the impeccable hospitality of Paul, Liz and their fantastic staff. Not to be missed when in the Big Apple.

I found this place on the internet by googling romantic restaurants on the Upper East Side. It was absolutely delightful. The red dining room on the 2nd floor (as pictured on the restaurant’s website) is so old world romantic. For a NYC restaurant there was surprisingly adequate space between tables. The food was scrumptious and properly prepared. Even if you... More
