Good food but very rude

In the heart on middle italy it's difficult to choose the best place to have a typical italian lunch. Plenty of restaurants. In the one, the food is fine, and that's the main concern for a restaurant but.....the tables are so close ( to have a lot of people in a small place) that you have no... read more

If Little Italy is your destination, then Casa Bella should be your stop to eat!! We had 4 people at our table and everyone enjoyed their dishes.....the antipasto was wonderful, Chicken Marsala was excellent and my Mushroom Risotto was fabulous. We all finished the meal with the New York Cheesecake....which was excellent and I am a baker!!

Myself and my friend took a walk into little Italy for lunch and discovers this place. The restaurant is very tidy, warm and friendly looking from the outside with a decent food menu. Along with a very reasonable set menu at £13 each for 2 courses. The food was good value for money and the quality was very good. But... More

We visited for lunch on Thanksgiving. We already had bookings elsewhere for dinner that evening so were looking for something light while in the Chinatown / Little Italy area. Casa Bella was quiet at around 12 noon but got increasingly busy, with the outside tables being fully occupied by the time we left. The lunch menu offered a good choice... More

Last weekend we made our annual visit to NYC for a couples weekend after visiting our kids and grandkids in New Caanan, CT. For the last 30 years we have made a point of making the trek to Little Italy to visit our favorite restaurant and its proprietor, Bitsy. Over the years we have introduced many friends, family members and... More

A little disappointed in this place. I traveled to little Italy because I assumed their pasta would be the best. This place was mediocre. Everyone in the restaurant spoke Italian though, so the experience felt authentic. Best part of the meal was the caprese salad.

There are several restaurants on Mulberry Street and so there's plenty of competition. Casa Bella has an employee on the street to lure people in with the promise of a good time. Don't be fooled. We ate on a mid-week evening and the restaurant was quiet. The food was ok but nothing remarkable. We were served by several staff and... More

My favorite Italian restaurant ever. The veal sorrentino is delicious. I also recommend having a martini. Can't wait to go back again.

I tried the lasagna followed by tiara masu. Both were as good, if not better, than any that I had while visiting Italy. Wait staff is friendly and willing to make suggestions. Highly recommend stopping here if you are in Little Italy.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
