Cozy and yummy!

Had a great lunch here with the family while walking through the Village. The wait staff was a little curt at first but gradually warmed up to us. This is a locals spot and not a tourist in sight other than us. Would gladly return and recommend.

A really nice place in a part of town you shouldn't miss. Most guests were local, which i like, even if i was there as a tourist :-) We stopped for lunch and even though it was busy, service was quick. The menu is full of classic dishes. It is unpretentious, just lovely food, generous portions, good value and very... More

This is a great casual neighborhood cafe. Their breakfast menu is excellent and includes many healthy options. In nice weather they have outdoor seating. Very reasonable prices and good portions for NYC. There is a playground across the street. The service is always fast and friendly. Your coffee cup and water is always being refilled. I have eaten here several... More

If you are in the village this diner is close to the high line and the new Whitney Museum. It is a small cozy place with tables outside during nice weather (my preferred seating). The staff are all friendly, polite and efficient. My dining companion and I were on our way to a meeting close by and decided to stop... More

Adore the ambience at Bus Stop, I found the choice of music relaxing. Staff is always smiling and takes good care of you. Food is fresh and delicious. Some of us had breakfast, some lunch and all the dishes were well executed and tasty.

It's maybe not the among the best (coffee is mediocre), yet it's very sunny and there is a feel of old NYC, Frank Sinatra music included, that makes you nostalgic.

We were looking for a brunch place after a visit to the Whitney Museum. We sat outside and enjoyed our brunch. At $ 16.95, nice brunch option (I had corn beef and hash), a glass of mimosa, and a cup of coffee (unlimited refill but the quality was not bad). We ordered a glass of orange juice - it came... Had breakfast here today. Omelette and potatoes and sausages over cooked somewhat. Lattes are in regular little coffee cups. Service is very good although very rushed. The restaurant is really nice. On a corner. Big windows that open. Food is mediocre.

At the end of the High Line we searched for a restaurant and endid by this fine Italian Restaurant. The service was perfect, as well as the food. We had Eggplant, Scallops and Schrimps and the Rigatoni with Schrimps. And a bottle of white wine: Zinfandel. The proce of the meals is about $ 18, so affordable. We liked it... More

We come here every time we visit New York. It si only small but serves the best breakfast freshly cooked in New York. The staff never change, they are welcoming, good natured and always have a sense of humour. The variety is excellent and the quality just as good. a few tables outside in summer otherwise a dozen booths -... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
