A well worth stop

Adore the ambience at Bus Stop, I found the choice of music relaxing. Staff is always smiling and takes good care of you. Food is fresh and delicious. Some of us had breakfast, some lunch and all the dishes were well executed and tasty.

It's maybe not the among the best (coffee is mediocre), yet it's very sunny and there is a feel of old NYC, Frank Sinatra music included, that makes you nostalgic.

We were looking for a brunch place after a visit to the Whitney Museum. We sat outside and enjoyed our brunch. At $ 16.95, nice brunch option (I had corn beef and hash), a glass of mimosa, and a cup of coffee (unlimited refill but the quality was not bad). We ordered a glass of orange juice - it came... Had breakfast here today. Omelette and potatoes and sausages over cooked somewhat. Lattes are in regular little coffee cups. Service is very good although very rushed. The restaurant is really nice. On a corner. Big windows that open. Food is mediocre.

At the end of the High Line we searched for a restaurant and endid by this fine Italian Restaurant. The service was perfect, as well as the food. We had Eggplant, Scallops and Schrimps and the Rigatoni with Schrimps. And a bottle of white wine: Zinfandel. The proce of the meals is about $ 18, so affordable. We liked it... More

We come here every time we visit New York. It si only small but serves the best breakfast freshly cooked in New York. The staff never change, they are welcoming, good natured and always have a sense of humour. The variety is excellent and the quality just as good. a few tables outside in summer otherwise a dozen booths -... More

Stopped for iced coffee while walking north on brilliant spring afternoon. Excellent iced decaf, nice service, open windows, view of flowering trees. Saw several meals going by and looked at the menu. Seems like excellent value and good food. Penne putanesca for ten bucks with a salad and coffee? How could you go wrong? Excellent value for us--two iced coffees... More

The name they use is "Bus Stop Café." The menu and staff are evocative of a Greek diner, but the space and decor fit in with the West Village area. As diner fare, it was above average. Part of the "café" ambiance comes from the outdoor seating which, alas, was too cold to use. It would have been a good... More

This was my first time here after walking the High Line and exploring that part of the village. The food was very tasty and I thought the price was very reasonable. The staff was very polite and it was quiet and cozy. I will return.

Great New York breakfast! Good service, nice feelings about this place. Genuine and simple! Close to BonBonniere, which is overrated, In my opinion. I'll come back to Bus Stop some day!

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
