Food was horrible, service was horrible. Was playing good Music ( R&B ) and then changed to classical music and just killed the whole vibe. Prefixed Menu was horrible including the dessert.

I enjoyed my visit to this restaurant for the first time but I was not very impressed by the food. The macaroni and corn bread was not what i expected but the food was fairly good. However, my friends catfish dish was far better than my dinner of BBQ ribs. The service was excellent.

I was so excited that one of the ladies in our group, nephew made reservations for 9 of us visiting NYC from Ontario Canada. I was the only one that knew about this restaurant but we all loved it!

Went to B. Smith's earlier today for a pre-theater brunch with my 10-year old daughter. Had not been to the restaurant in many years - and there's been a distinct decline. I had basic scrambled eggs, sausage and cheese grits. The eggs were completely rubbery & overcooked. There was scraped brown & burned pieces from the grill/pan. Gross. The sausage... More

We truly enjoyed our dinner at B Smith. Great atmosphere and the food was great. Our waiter Brian O' Conner was outstanding with his Robin Thicke looking self. I even saved a piece of the chicken and brought is back to California. It was just that good.

My mom and I stopped in during our trip to NYC last weekend (8/2) for dinner before a show. We opted for the price fix menu with glass of wine. We were asked specifically if we had a show to catch. We replied yes, and felt secure that would mean we'd have plenty of time. We each sampled something different,... More

A friend and I went to this restaurant for NYC Restaurant Week (I based the "Value" rating on this fact) and I'm glad we went during that time. Not to say that the food isn't completely worth full price, but I know that I would've been mad if I had to pay a higher gratuity just because my meal was... More

I really hope B Smith's was having an "off" evening. I'd suggested we have some authentic American cuisine to a friend who was visiting from Brussels, which has some of the best cooking I've ever experienced. Since I love fried green tomatoes, I was happy to see them on the menu but instead of a light crunchy coating, the battered... More

This was pre-theater lunch on restaurant week. That can sometimes be a double whammy, it wasn't. Arrived later than we thought, but managed to have a comfortable lunch & still make our theater reservations [around the corner]. Service was not stunning, but was nice. One of us had the pulled pork, which she liked [was not too spicy], and they... More

B. Smith's was an easy find right off the train on Restaurant Row in Broadway. We stopped in right before a show and were able to walk right in without reservations. Now don't get me wrong- the food was good, but because I'm from the South and know what great Soul Food is, I'll just leave my review at good.... More
