Good small plates

Waldorf salad is a must!!! My friends ordered sliders and said they were good too. I also ordered the mezze platter. The staff were very nice and gave us a corner table as we had a baby.

My husband I managed to make it here for cocktails on the afternoon of our last day. It did not disappoint. Although I felt intimidated initially, all the staff we met from the minute we entered, were so friendly and made us feel welcome and relaxed. The bar staff went above and beyond the call of duty and were a... More

Being a native New Yorker and a frequenter of 5 Star hotels, I can honestly say the Peacock has no equal. The atmosphere is mixed with the classy din of the grand lobby and a feeling of total respite. I entertain clients there, or arrive when the fantastic pianist is playing with my date. It's also a great place to... More

The Peacock cocktail is DELICIOUS! The bartenders were so friendly and helpful. The bartenders definitely made the experience. They made great food and cocktail suggestions. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying the famous Waldorf Salad.

Some friends and I looked forward to spending several hours at the bar/restaurant at the Waldorf during our recent tour of NYC. We patiently waited for a table. Once seated we waited quite some time for service. Eventually a member of our party requested service. The waiter wasn't very friendly. During the 2 hour timeframe, we had to request service... Stayed at the Waldorf and loved the experience. Had to have dinner at peacock alley. Food was marginal. Waldorf salad positively dreadful....tasted like sour plastic.Cheese plate had miniscule pieces of a few unmemorable cheeses and overtoasted bread. The meze platter was equally unremarkable. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
