Lovely iconic place for one visit....Food is not worth the price.

Stayed at the Waldorf and loved the experience. Had to have dinner at peacock alley. Food was marginal. Waldorf salad positively dreadful....tasted like sour plastic.Cheese plate had miniscule pieces of a few unmemorable cheeses and overtoasted bread. The meze platter was equally unremarkable... read more

Waldorf Salad - wow! Biscuits - a must! It's a part of the Waldorf=Astoria history which is divine. Absorb the charm & all that it has on offer.

We went here Friday night for a few drinks our waiter Austin was awesome he was quick with the drinks and when my wife wasn't happy with her selection he was more than happy to replace it but we just switched drinks I ordered the Truffle French Fries which were delicious they came with a dipping sauce and ketchup. When you speak to people about the Best Brunch in NYC the reputation of the Waldorf Astoria preceeds it. For more than $100 per person expect a varied buffet for sure but poor waiter service (after multiple times asking for drinks, bills, where the bathrooms are etc) left little to be desired. Novelty factor is there, food was ok, nothing... More

We had a light lunch and coffee. I was keen to have the original Waldorf Salad in its birthplace. It was lovely and fine, but actually disappointing. The apples were julienned rather than chopped in chunks and the sauce was *very* sour. I know right, the ultimate First World problem! The service was terrific, the coffee was excellent and the... I've been to the Waldorf many times in the past for Sunday Brunch and have always had a great experience, but yesterday will be my last. I don't mind paying for top shelf quality but when I'm paying for it, I expect it. I got to tell you, I felt ripped off. 18% gratuity for a buffet is excessive and... More

Great location but if you sit at the bar do not sit at the pouring station, it smells of stale drinks/food which will spoil your visit. A lovely place to watch NYC people pass you by.

We booked lunch for Xmas Day. What a disappointment. No Xmas decorations! We were not offered a glass of Champagne, had to sit on our coats as we were not asked if they could be hung up. We have visited Peacock Alley a couple of times and the food surprises us every time. The food is prepared to perfection regardless if you choose a sallad, pasta or meat. If you're lucky they'll have a good piano player that plays whatever you like while you sip on a nice cocktail.
