Sublime burgers.

A good place to have a drink or informal light bites. Excellent burgers. Very good, friendly service. It was a welcome respite from the heat of New York. Quite pricey, but worth every cent.

Here for drinks most nights during our stay, great cocktails and wines to choose from, wavered on choosing something from the menu but fully enjoyed sitting in the relaxed classy atmosphere of the Peacock which enjoys a great location at the side of the main lobby. As with the rest of the lobby, dark wood, soft lighting and potted palms... More

Enjoyed a birthday cocktail in the late evening at the Peacock Alley Lounge, providing a bit of time to relax after many hours wandering the city streets on foot, taking in all the sights of NYC. My drink, a simple whiskey and coke was mixed as if I had done it myself—perfect ratio and palatable...and a snack tray was a... More

Need better service. The price you pay for the food and drinks is completely ridiculous for the food and drinks you get.

Staying at the Waldorf and stopped in for a drink (not cheap) but good atmosphere. What made this a 4 star was Frank - the bartender. Frank was an Irish gent that took a good amount of time to write down some suggestions for my upcoming trip to Dublin. Great recommendations and very friendly. I'd sit and chat longer if... More

At the famous Waldorf. A fun environment. Food was expensive ($6.50 for a diet coke - no refills, with regular offerings proportionately costly). Food and service were satisfactory but not exceptional.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
