By the early evening, the iconic Cole Porter piano begins to play, as guests sip inspired and artful cocktails with rare and house-infused spirits. The sumptuous Sunday brunch was voted one of the 10 Best Brunches in New York City by Open Table in 2011 & 2012. The restaurant, bar and discreet lounge are located in the heart of the bustling main lobby of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The private dining rooms are ideal for small corporate lunches, private dinner events and celebrations, both small and large.

Even though the brunch is pricey, its great for special occasions and definitely an experience you won't forget. All of the culinary staff I came in contact with were super friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious as well! Don't miss the caviar, lobster tails, beef wellington, or waldorf salad. Only improvement would be if mimosas were included in the price!

I see my review echoes many others.....elegant atmosphere, however the service is sorely lacking. Food is pricey, but it's NYC and the Waldorf, so you sort of expect that. I met a friend here for lunch, conveniently located in the lobby of the Waldorf, where I was staying. The food was pretty good and I enjoyed sitting there, however at... More

I had breakfast here with a friend. We were looking for something upscale and elegant so although the prices are outrageous, that didn't turn us off. But when I pay high prices I expect excellent service, especially in one of New York's premier hotels. In fact, when you go to an high end restaurant I believe it is mainly the... More

We loved the setting. The food was good, but not great. The prices were really expensive - $100 for a couple of breakfasts expensive. That would be ok if the food were a little better and the service was a whole lot better. We had to ask for coffee refills. We had to send a bill back due to errors... More

I went for a drink at the bar with a friend on Sunday at noon. The hotel is very impressive until you need bar service.. The bar tender was rushed off his feet pouring tens of glasses of Prosecco for the mass of customers in the restaurant and was very unfriendly and ungracious. Finally, he sent a colleague to serve... We ate the fabulous Sunday brunch buffet at Peacock Alley at $98 per person. It was delicious. We eat at many fine dining establishments and felt it was adequately priced for the venue even though many will think that is very expensive. What we did not like was that a 15% service charge was automatically added to the bill, which... More

When I was young, my grandmother would always tell me about the Waldorf Astoria. Because of this, I have always wanted to go to the Waldorf.
