Amazing atmosphere!

We had a cheeseburger and fries and my dad had a bowl of chicken vegetable soup, all of which were very good. We sat two tables over from the gold statue in Rockefeller Plaza which is very iconic. But, the prices were a little too high for a burger...$21.

We had a late night dinner at The Rock Center Cafe. The service was wonderful and the Gluten Free Pasta with tomato, basil and mozzarella was outstanding. The fillet was also delicious. I plan to come back on my next visit to New York.

Right in the middle of all of your shopping, you can stop for delicious drinks and food. We stopped in for drinks several times, and enjoyed the calamari and the delicious guacamole. For lunch, we had the falafel which was excellent. Convenient and tasty - what more can you ask for?

We were very surprised and pleased to eat outside at this restaurant staring up at the iconic statue by the winter skating rink area. Very good food and reasonable prices with a lovely lady serving us.

Rock Center Cafe is a great business lunch standby in midtown. Perfect if you have an office nearby to stop down for a delicious and quick lunch meeting.

Nice restaurant in the lower level of the Rockefeller Center Plaza. We ate outdoors. Pleasant atmosphere. Medium quality service. Above average food. We had a late breakfast: Two American Breakfasts, 2 coffee, 2 sides of toast and two OJs. Food was good. I wouldn't travel just to eat here, but if you are in the area, this is a good... More

It took forever to get our order taken, and far longer to get the food. The appetizer actually came after the entree. The food was mediocre at best. Actually mine was almost inedible, and my guests were probably too polite to say what they really thought. The coffee was actually room temperature. Let me think: can I think if something... More

We decided to have a late lunch at this cafe and were disappointed with our experience. The portion sizes were not worth the price of the food, the steak salad looked old and wilted and the atlantic salmon didnt come with very much. The food was bland and not to our satisfaction. One glass also had lipstick stains from the... More

Day 5 - ahead of our 'Skip the line' tickets for MoMA and after a quick visit to Grand Central Terminal, we went to Rockefellar Plaza and the Rock Center cafe for breakfast and were seated outside next to the fountain. Liz had an open faced shrimp omelette served with tomatoes, zucchini and made with fontina cheese with blck coffee,... More

Everybody is visiting this place and when we arrived we were under the assumption that this must be a very special restaurant. Actually it is a quite normal restaurant, with normal food but high prices. We were not really impressed. I had the nachos (nothing special) and the chicken (which was nice). A big dissapointment were the glasses and the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
