ok lunch and service

Restaurant week lunch with family. For some reason, we're not offered the Restaurant Week menu until we asked...after a 15-min wait at the table.....hmm...Food was ok and generic, but service was seriously lagging...had difficulty finding our waiter to get our check....

It's a decent place for lunch if you're near the Rockefeller Center, if somewhat touristy. Try to get a table near the windows, where you'll have a good view of the ice skaters (skating, I presume, on plastic rather than ice). It's a smart location without being too fancy, and they serve the kind of food you'd expect to find... More

After four mornings of rushed diner style breakfasts I needed to have a quiet and served breakfast. The outlook was wonderful with skaters on the rink and the gorgeous fountain with the flags. Service was average , food above average but ambience non-descript. It ticked my boxes for my needs of the day but too pricey to return to for... More

We had a nice table for two at the windows overlooking the ice rink. Great people watching and the perfect break from the RockCenter busyness. The ambiance was perfect for lunch but the server was rather brisk and unfriendly. Our appetizer was the star of the meal: fresh ricotta with truffle honey and English peas served with toasted bread. So... More

We happened upon this restaurant while exploring Rockefeller Center. We were hungry and tired from walking so much. We were able to get seated right away and had a table where we could watch the ice skaters. There was a children's menu for my 2 granddaughters so that made them happy. My daughter and I ordered from the prix fixe... More

This restaurant is directly below Rockefeller Center on the same level as the ice skating rink. It is a great option for before or after a show at Radio City Music Hall or to take a break from shopping or sightseeing right in the center of the action. We were a party of 5 for lunch right at noon on... More

We visited here on our last night in NYC and wanted to try somewhere memorable. We are really glad we picked here as we had a great night and wonderful food. The staff were also very attentive and friendly. This is a perfect place if you are in the city and want to dine al fresco in the summer. Would... More

We had a great lunch at the Rock Café. We were seated close enough to the windows to have a great view of the ice skaters, which was fun. The food was excellent and fairly priced. The service was top notch. I would highly recommend this spot for a true New York experience.

Chose this venue de to proximity to Top of The Rock. Had a beautiful view over ice rink which became more stunning as night fell and all the lights came on. The food was well presented and tasty with a good choice for all tastes.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
