Delicious Food - Friendly Service

This exceptional restaurant brings you for a short while to Senegal, with its authentic staff, ambiance and cuisine. The menu offers grilled beef, lamb, chicken, fish or guinea fowl or stewed lamb - all very delicious but not at all fat-free - with a choice of equally delicious side dished.

The place is a little chaotic and the service is not exactly what you would call rigorous, but the food is delicious and the atmosphere is friendly and lively. Very much recommended for those who are open-minded and interested in a new experience. By the way, I don't know why Trip Advisor has the name wrong. The name of the... More

My husband and I walked in late night for dinner. Even though it was late night the place was still two hours from closing. We had a waitress who did not greet us when we walked in even there there was only one table with people at us. No smiles for us. Just made me feel a little bad. The... More

This is sort of a low key African diner type spot. The various fish preparations are quite nice. The fish is generally moist and accompanied by assorted starches and pickled onions and vegetables. The grilled chicken was remarkably tasty and moist. The lunch menu is mainly West African, oriented towards Senegalese cuisine, whereas dinner migrates toward French offerings. But be... More

I was at Kine's on August 11 2006 and was delighted by the top notch service, the food (exceptionally good), the decor. Africa Kine restaurant is located in harlem an area populated by african immigrants specifically people from Senegal. I ordered the "yassa poulet" a delicious and very tasteful sauce made with onions, chicken, it comes with steamed rice on... More

If you are not attuned to African cuisine, you might want to skip the lamb dishes. The one we ordered was not all that pleasing to our unfamiliar American taste as happened before in a classy Ethiopian restaurant. The Africa Kine version of the national dish of Senegal, Thiebu Djeun, was superb. Quantity of food served was more than ample.... More
