Nice Italian Food

Freshly prepared food combined with excellent service make dinner a winner. I personally had linguine in clam sauce. The clams were tender and sweet. The sauce could have used a bit more wine, but it was good no the less. My three dinner companions each ordered a different meal; everyone was... read more

Loved the pasta, wine, bread and dessert in this lively gem within walking distance to our hotel on Madison Avenue. Excellent prices for the upper east side!

Can't fault meal there. As a family we had risotto, pasta (2 types) and bruschetta. Delicious food, home made, and great value.

We were in the process of moving our daughter to NYC, staying in the Best Western Hospitality House, which is immediately next door to this restaurant. What a great place! While busy, we did not have to wait for a table in this small, quaint eatery. Service was excellent-the staff provided their own recommendations when asked, and they were spot... More

Enjoyed the food and ambiance. Wait staff knows when to fill your glass and when to leave you alone. The food is good and fresh. The house chianti was quite good for the money. I would definitely return.

Had lunch at San Martin with my son. Very nice three course special price fixed menu. Food was wonderful, and the price was amazing. Service was all you can expect in a fine restaurant. Highly recommend you try it.

Since we were staying at a Midtown restaurant, we were looking for something local. the hotel website listed this as a good choice. I made reservations the day before, but it was not actually necessary. The restaurant is small, but comfortable and the service was friendly. The food however was very salty. I ordered the equivalent of chicken parmagiana, and... More

We found this lovely restaurant by happy accident and received a warm welcome. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our waiter Chris was funny, kind and knew what 'flaan' meant by the time we were finished. Lovely food, staff great, atmosphere first class. A great evening.

Excellent atmosphere! Attentive wait staff. The place has been there for 30+ years so you know it's got to be good. Got the veal Parmesan which was amazing. Chocolate dipped cannoli was divine.

It is good Italian food and they have some good options. The portions are a nice size as well. It is like sitting in some one's living room. It has a nice and intimate setting. The waiters have thick Italian accents and it has a nice ambiance. The food comes out quickly and is tasty.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
