Since we were staying at a Midtown restaurant, we were looking for something local. the hotel website listed this as a good choice. I made reservations the day before, but it was not actually necessary. The restaurant is small, but comfortable and the service was friendly. The food however was very salty. We found this lovely restaurant by happy accident and received a warm welcome. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our waiter Chris was funny, kind and knew what 'flaan' meant by the time we were finished. Lovely food, staff great, atmosphere first class. A great evening.

Excellent atmosphere! Attentive wait staff. The place has been there for 30+ years so you know it's got to be good. Got the veal Parmesan which was amazing. Chocolate dipped cannoli was divine.

It is good Italian food and they have some good options. The portions are a nice size as well. It is like sitting in some one's living room. It has a nice and intimate setting. The waiters have thick Italian accents and it has a nice ambiance. The food comes out quickly and is tasty.

We ate at this restaurant twice during our 7 days in NYC for 2 reasons. First time was because it was so close to the hotel we were staying at and we were over having to make decisions about where to eat when we were tired from sight seeing and didn't want to frock up, walk any further or make... I have never written a review the same day, never mind less than an hour after a visit to an establishment! Simply, worse meal I have had in years..yes..I'm still surprised I'm saying this. Now, understand, i invariably dine at well known acclaimed estsblishments, but tonite, i wanted simplicity close to the W New York where I was residing. Its... More

Please ignore any positive reviews for this restaurant....please do not go to this restaurant if you are expecting enjoyable food. Waiters are very friendly but the food is terrible...The pasta dishes, pesto, arabiata & carbonara were tasteless & unpleasant- in fact we couldn't finish them! We paid the bill but I would never return & having read the negative reviews... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
