My wife and I ate at Sam's while I was in Manhattan for three weeks of training. She came up for a weekend from Alabama. It was the highlight of the visit for her. Like going to Rick's in Casablanca. Love the owner; super sweet old-school Italian guy. Just tell them what you want....they'll make anything you want. Don't bother looking at the menu! I had a great Squid-ink pasta with mushroom and shrimp. The shrimp was ok; everything else was yummy. Neighborhood local Italian eatery... more

We had dinner here to celebrate my mother's 65th birthday, and it was perfect. The restaurant is quite small, but has a cozy, intimate feel. The food was outstanding, and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. They made quite a fuss over our family. We loved the whole experience, and will be sure to recommend it to others. more

The cutest little restaurant in New York. They have a terrific chicken ceasar salad. Ate there twice on a two night stay in New York. I have taken the train into New York just to eat at Sams. A little tight, but worth it more
