We had a red Flame next to our hotel which we used most mornings for breakfast. The menu selection was good with reasonable prices. Worth a visit.

We were staying a couple of doors down at the Iroquois, every time we passed we saw this place to be very busy and popular so we decided to try it out. It was lunchtime and after a short 10 minute wait we were seated. Service was fast and the food was really good. I know what people say about... More

Came here for lunch with my wife, and we walked in and were greeted pleasantly, but took awhile to actually get served. The food we were served was very good. No complaints at all with the food, was very surprised by their product. While eating, our sever never came back to check on us and then I guess her shift... More

We did not want to spend a lot of money and wanted just simple basic food. This is a café that caters to that type of cuisine. We found the boots to be rather small but the service and food was superb for the price range. You want to pay an arm and a leg for breakfast here. The service... More

First day we were walking around and stumbled into a place on Times Square. It was alright but kind of expensive, didn't want to go back. The next morning we did some research of diners near us and found this place. It was great!! Got free refills with coffee, the 'eggs Benedict' was amazing, very reasonable prices and apart from... This is our "go to" place for breakfast for when we are in New York. This is a clean diner with a standard breakfast menu at a reasonable price. The remarkable thing is that it is in the middle of Manhattan.

It is what it is...cheap food of variable quality in an authentic diner setting with a cast of local and tourist customers. A necessary part of a full NYC experience.

There was three of us and each had a good breakfast, there wasn't anything either fantastic about it, neither was there anything at all bad. The size of portion was good, but I'd have been disappointed if they'd have been less. It was busy as was a Saturday morning. Lots of nice coffee refills. Would I go back for breakfast?... More

For what it would have cost us for one bagel at the Algonquin next door where we were staying, we enjoyed a perfectly good breakfast (wife had nice veg omelette and home fries, I had lox/cream cheese bagel, coffee, etc. Nice to have one or two meals on the cheap to offset the big dollar ones. Red Flame fits that... More
