Very good brunch

Needed a quick brunch between meetings in midtown. Excellent omelette. Quick service. Ok coffee. Server had a little bit of attitude. Average or above average diner. Nothing special but tasty meal at a reasonable price.

Except for the New York prices, this is a classic diner. Decent service, sunny room, variety of table sizes, pleasant atmosphere.

Omelet was burned, has had no flavor, but all the food was edible. Service was pretty quick. Pricing was fair by comparable NY standards.

My husband and I came for a mid morning breakfast on a weekday and were able to be seated right away. It was my first visit to the restaurant, so I needed a few minutes with the menu, and to her credit, the server returned quickly after we'd made our decisions. However, afterward, the server also got most of the... More

We had breakfast here Saturday and Sunday. Very clean and bright. No frills but the food was really good and fresh and the service efficient. Coffee cups and water glasses were kept filled. Prices were inexpensive fort he neighborhood.

Have been here for breakfast 3 times, fabulous place, free refills of coffee and tea, well cooked, tasty food, comfy seats. It does get very busy so make sure you arrive at 9am or make a reservation. You can literally order a waffle with whipped cream, bacon, strawberries, chocolate chips and bananas. They will happily add extras on for little... More

No butter on toast, coffee was nasty, french toast was just grilled bread.... I do not recommend... I won't be back ever

My wife and I ate here for breakfast and lunch on a recent NY trip, as it was just down the street from our hotel. Nothing fancy, just a nice, clean diner with good service, and a wide variety of casual menu choices. We were happy with both meals and would visit again

For out towners hoping to experience genuine New York atmosphere, this is a microcosm of authenticity. Food is standard diner fare: omelettes, Benedict, skillets and sandwiches feature. Plates are full, if a little bland. Service is swift, efficient and matter of fact - the wait staff are there to do a job and they certainly get it done. There are... More

We were looking for a American Diner while in NYC with guests from Europe. Red Flame is near Time Square snd fit the description of what we were looking for. As for the food, it's your usual American breakfast fare. Service is polite and quick and restaurant seems clean.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
