We were born and raised in NY, now live in Colorado and love NY pizza. Found Sal's in 2002 and have gone back every time we visit. New location off Mulberry has better seating but the pizza remains the best attraction. Nothing fancy, just great food and great people. As an expatriate NY Italian I highly recommend this place, especially the... More

I don't understand why this restaurant is so hyped up. We were left twenty minutes waiting for a table so we were expecting something spectacular. Instead we got a not thoroughly heated average tasting lasagne, and a normal pepperoni pizza. Server was pleasant but the place was extremely busy. Much nicer places to eat, avoid.

The owners are Italian and you can taste the real Italian Cuisine. This is not so common in US. Try it!

The food was excellent, great atmosphere. The waitress we had was friendly and helpful. The one guy from the restaurant who walked around helping out was funny, and made our experience great. Can't say enough good things about the food.

We always visit Sal's while in NYC. It is located in Little Italy. The pizza is great! My son and I love the side salad as well. This is a great place to eat while visiting Little Italy. Nice dining room!

We had pleasant meal here. I had a calzone (fried!) and my friend had a straightforward pizza. We shared a salad. Everything was fine - but we've both had better pizzas and the salad was far too big to be tempting. The red wine was cold - but cheap. The staff were great.

Visited in February 2013. Shared a large pizza between two and a couple of bottles of Peroni. Friendly staff, good prices, clean bathroom. Worth a visit if you’re near Little Italy.

Great little place right off of Mulberry Street. The pizza was good (I love NY pizza), the staff was friendly and really cheerful, and the prices were reasonable. It is definitely worth stopping at for a quick bite.

Always is good to go to a ethnic restaurant and find people from that country. In this case, plenty of Italians in this little jewel from Italy. From the waitress to the dessert, authentic, full of flavor food. Must stop for lunch at least

First of all, I LOVE Little Italy. I have never been to a bad restaurant there. On a recent trip, my family and I were walking through the neighborhood and saw this place. We went in to what at first just looked like a counter to order to go pizza. We were taken to the back where there was a... More
