Description: Located just two blocks from Union Square, Mumbles is a contemporary bistro that highlights everything we love about New York. An upbeat, affordable restaurant based on the way we like to eat today, our diverse menu is based on fresh ingredients and expert preparation. We are taking a modern approach to comfort food, with menu items ranging from BBQ Spare Rib Sliders and Truffled Mac & Cheese to Jamon Croquettes, Seafood Risotto and our famous Penne alla Vodka. In addition to tasty lunch and dinner options, we also have a full bar with a great selection of American Craft Beers.

We stopped here on the way to Webster Hall for a quick bite. I ordered the lamb burger. Prompt service, food was good, and good price. Would have liked to see more variety in the menu, perhaps. Overall it was a nice random dinner stop!

As for our menu, please know that we recently expanded it to include more healthy and gluten-free options. I hope you get a chance to try one of these new dishes soon. All... More

This was the closest place to my budget hotel down the block for a light dinner. I ordered one dish, which in an almost deserted restaurant, took a while to arrive. Said dish was a flatbread pizza, well-executed. Waitress was lovely and a range of folks were eating there that night, from families to couples to singles. Decor is pub-like,... More

Thanks for giving us a try the other night. I'm glad to know that you thought our flatbread pizza was well-executed and that your waitress was personable and friendly. I'm sorry, though, that it took a while for your order to arrive. Because we prepare and bake our pizzas fresh to order, they take longer than other pizza places that... More

This little restaurant was on the corner opposite our very basic hotel, and turned out to be a real gem. A varied, interesting European/American menu. Cheerful service and excellent value - so good we went two nights running.

I have been here several times over the years. Basic American fare, fish, meat, burgers with many pasta options. They have good specials throughout the week. That is the best time to go. They also have a good Happy Hour at the bar. There is pleasant outdoor seating on both 17th St & 3rd Ave. I noticed last night they... More

We went to Mumbles for a quick lunch on a work day. Only three tables were full (I should have taken that as a sign!). Even though the waitress was lovely, she could not be nice enough to make up for the extended wait time for the food to come from the kitchen. They have a basic kids menu. The... More

I decided to eat here for its convenient location (very colse to my hotel) on a saturday night. You can eat everything, from pizza to sandwiches, steaks and scallops, soups and burgers, salads and pasta, which for me is not a god thing. It is a quiet restaurant, with low lights. I had a soup, quite good, and a tuna... More

We ate here on our arrival in NYC as it was just a few blocks down from our hotel. They have deals most nights but we went for the standard menu. Portions are large (why did we decide to have starters!) and food was tasty and appeared fresh. The place itself is a litte dated and had more of a... More

Mumbles restaurant was at one time part of a mini-chain of three neighborhood pub type restaurants. The last survivor is in our neighborhood,Gramercy Park and while definitely not a "go to place" serves a need for fast comfort food at a fair price. Food is quite average if you stick to simple dishes and service can be "iffy" . But... More

We walked into Mumbles and thought it was an agreeable atmosphere. It looked like it was a nice neighborhood restaurant and pub that was a good place to come for a Guinness. Maybe it is, but it's certainly not a place to come and have dinner. The food is just awful. It appeared to us that the "chef" didn't have... More
