First the good news. The Mad Hatter has a pleasant outdoor beer garden in the back. It's a nice place to hang out on summer evenings. The food is decent: mostly British pub selections such as chicken curry, or sausages in batter with potato croquettes and baked beans. On the other hand, the drinks are small and served in plastic... Visited to watch the football and sample a few beers and a selection of bar snacks. Did everything it said on the tin and a bonus that you can watch the football outside on the big screen, perfect venue!

Having lived in the local area for 4 years, I have tried many, many bars in the area and midtown / UES - but have tended to gravitate back to The Mad Hatter. Main reason is simple, and always the case: the staff are welcoming, chatty, and interested. The other reason is that the food is pretty decent, and well... More

Popped in for a quick bite, ended up also staying for several drinks and the Knicks game on TV. Staff are friendly and happy to advise on their range of British and American beers. Menu wasn't too extensive which I like, had a fantastic burger, great value, great atmosphere would recomend to all.

Had a city supporter in our group of friends whilst in New York who had heard about this bar so decided to go when there was a game! We got there a bit early and thought we would eat a late lunch and were seated in a nice booth directly in front of 2 flat screen TVs - best of... More

Watched a City game here on a Monday afternoon. Was packed with City fans. really friendly welcome from fans and staff alike. Would be a great place on a non game day. Nice recently refurbished bar, good beer selection, way better than average bar food,

Had to visit as my husband is a city fan. It was great to see all the memorabilia as well as the manager's Liverpool clock hiding behind the bar!! The food was good English grub but still huge portions. Very clean and very friendly.

Yes no doubt a great place to come as a Blue. The city memorabilia is great fun. But also good for friendly service and tasty food at reasonable prices. Even if you're not a Blue, do try it although it might not make for a comfortable evening if you are a Red!

I visited the Mad Hatter whilst on holiday in New york. The wonderful sight of City shirts behind the bar, and a massive City flag on the ceiling made me feel home from home straight away. The irish bloke serving behind the bar was a decent enough fella, and the crowd in the pub were friendly too. I ate in... More

Owned by an Irishman and staffed in large part by recently Americanized Irish, this real-world pub makes for great conversations and comraderie. TVs wherever you look, it's a great place for watching the big games (MCFC soccer, too). Nice crowd. Rowdys need not apply. You can root for any team you like and you won't feel alone. And the bangers... More
