I've been to this restaurant many times for breakfast. It always busy, a wait sometimes but a must visit if in the area. The place is run like a well oiled machine. What ever you choose for breakfast is perfect and never a disappointment. This time around I had corn beef hash with poached eggs - perfect. Same vote from... More

We went here for lunch since it was close to our hotel. The first thing was outside there was a sign that stated "biggest breakfast in NY" so I went in so excited about a big breakfast. While waiting to be seated we had some left over coffee from our hotel. We were informed by the hostess she could not... More

Pershing square claims to be the busiest and best restaurant in New York, it is certainly busy. We called in for breakfast, service was prompt, the breakfast pretty good but at an average of $25 each it really was average. We tried another place the following morning for breakfast, which saved us $10 each but was served on paper plates... More

Unfortunately I had breakfast at Pershing Square only once but I had the chance to eat the famous pancakes. I have to say they're really delicious and they worth a visit. The ambience is nice and the service is very good: I would raccomend it.

Came here for breakfast and the place was so popular we had to wait about 30 mins to be seated. Service was friendly but not very efficient. The quality of the food and drinks was good but a little on the expensive side even by NYC standards, don't think I would come back as there are better and less expensive... More

Been a few times here on my trips to NYC. If you want to experience the buzz, the noise and the wonderful brashness of a traditional New York breakfast then this is the place to do it. Big and cavernous inside, yet built in under the off ramp of the road, situated directly opposite Grand Central Station, it's beautifully presented... More

The place looks like 1910. Small lamps along both banks of side tables, large booths lots of oak and truly prompt service. The food was very good and not terribly expensive. Servers were fun. My chicken cobb salad was wonderful. I'd go back anytime. Located in the underpass on 42nd street, below Grand Central.

Pershing Square was an Interesting Experience. It's got a decent vibe being across from Grand Central and has that whole bistro thing going on. Feels a little European! Staffed by some friendly people, but that is where the compliments end. Our hostess and the waitress were moderately friendly, but that's it. Our waitress did a basic approach to the the... More

A restaurant that does exactly what it says it does, provide good not fancy food in an unfussy way. The onion soup as others have said is excellent. Salads good and the pancakes some of the best in the city. Service is fine if nothing special. No reservations, so you take your chances... Always busy and deservedly so. On our... More

Pershing is located directly across from GCT and has been our regular stop before getting onto the train to commute home for years. It's also a perfect lunch for doing business if you can get a booth and get away from the din a bit. Food is great - try the shrimpcargot (their take on escargot), tapas and drinks at... More
