Really good

Really good breakfast spot. Food is very good. Coffee was piping hot and well roasted. Berries were very fresh - February folks! - and the eggs Benedict were, as always, quite good. Quick, helpful service. Great location. As in the past, "I will be back!" :-)

We were on holiday in New York in November, visited many times before but this will be our last visit to pershing square! We came for breakfast and there was a que, a table of four and a table of 6 before us, and then ourselves (2)came another 2, there were a few tables free to accommodate2 people so the couple... We always visit this restaurant for breakfast because the food is excellent. As tourists we expect to tip heavily in the States because that's how it is... recently it became apparent that the person who settled our bill didn't leave over 10% and our waiter took exception to this. He pointed out that he didn't think we had left enough... More

We ate breakfast here twice on a recent trip to New York City and were delighted with the food, service, ambiance and location, which was a couple of blocks from our hotel. On our first visit, I had traditional buttermilk pancakes with pure warmed maple syrup ($16). The pancakes proved to be fluffy, light and a perfect size -- neither... More

I have eaten here many times and am always happy to pay the premium price (when compared to a diner) for good service and decent food. You will need to assume you will need to wait for a table (avoid sitting near the door in winter as there is a real draft) but the first coffee is always welcome. Pancakes... More

Authentic american diner, under a bridge, close to Empire State Building. We had our best breakfast here during our stay in NY City.

We stopped here for breakfast on Sunday morning, and it was a delightful experience! Located on 42nd Street immediately across from Grand Central Station, and Under the bridge that goes above the terminal and the MetLife Building, it opens at 7 AM and serves an excellent menu for breakfast. The fresh squeezed orange juice was very good, and so was... More

Fresh orange juice is not really fresh juice, it means tropicana or something like that. Food it's not something to write home about

We went to New York for 5 days and we were to breakfast at Pershing Square 3 out of the 5 days. The service was rest, portions were huge and the food was great. Plenty of breakfast spots in New York but Pershing Square is a classic and in such a great location.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
