Just Too Much

Disappointed after a month long wait to eat here. The hectic, frenetic atmosphere so detracted from the food, it's an effort to say it was very good food, but it was. Too loud to feel comfortable to ask questions of the server, besides every time she stopped at our tiny table she was in the way... read more

My expectations was higher BC of the owner of this place is very famous But does not met the necessary level First of all you got to hire some one who is more welcoming at the bar Bartender was mean A lot mean then average level. I'll say right up front that a pet peeve is not being seated until the whole party arrives. If we have a reservation, if you have our table, why make a lady who walks with a cane lean against a wall until the rest of the party comes? Once we were seated the table was comfortable. Service was helter-skelter. We... More

We tried to eat here and had a reservation on a cool spring night We walked in and it seemed to be 120degrees inside We were greeted by a strong odor of vomit That was pretty much our only greeting The surly individuals at the desk took our name and sent us into the sweltering stinky bar Despite our reservation... If you want to go to a restaurant that's hectic, loud and not a lot of space then you may want to try here. The food was ok and the service was too. Food wise I was expecting more given their reputation, but maybe it's just me. I think because I just couldn't get comfortable in the establishment, the food... More

This place was recommended to us by friends and we were not disappointed. Ask to sit at the bar, even if you have to wait. Food and service exceptional. Enjoy

No way that chef batalli has ever eaten here at least at night as he would be embarrassed. Tables are packed like sardines and neither carpeting nor plants are around to quench the sound. Even the waiter apologized. The decibel strength was louder than any sporting event. Food is good but the environment is unacceptable. What a shame.

Having liked its pricier and higher class establishment Babbo, wanted to try this more casual restaurant by the same chef. Place and service was hectic, some small plates were hits, others misses! Pasta dishes ranged poor to average, pizza was the only star! Value was average as well, so at least did not have to overpay for the quality provided.

Finally stopped by for a weekend lunch. The hostess was clueless, it's only when a supervisor stepped in that we were seated (in a nearly empty restaurant) The staff (top to bottom) needs to be trained. The pizzas looked lifeless and bland, so we decided not to order them. Instead we ordered some side dishes, salads, starters, and a pasta.... More

Me and my girlfriend went here for lunch. The food was amazing. I especially liked their selection of cheeses. And also their wine selection is really good they have a lot of bottles to chose from.

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
