Staff are pleasant but food was tasteless. The roast potatoes tasted like they had been reheated. Other veg were good.

Soft, subtle, excellent food and service. Have visited this restaurant many times and although it's not Little Italy, it's just as good and not as chaotic.

Recent ate a fantastic meal at Montebello! We arrived on a Saturday evening around 6 with no reservation and were seated immediately. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with nice music. The restaurant is quiet enough to relax and enjoy the meal, and would be appropriate for family and friends or a romantic date. I had the arugula salad with... More

Best sea bass which I had so far. It was served together with grilled wgetables. I recoment Good wines from Australia. Cheesecake could be better.

Food was outstanding. Salads and pastas were shared and entrees were too large but appreciated. Atmosphere was conducive to actual conversation. So many restaurants today have moved away from "food" as the focal point and concentrate on atmosphere and music.

When you walk into Montebello's, act like Ray Liotta in Goodfellas...you know, act like you own the place. Reason? This place is really good, and they like having diners who act important! In other words, don't act like a meek tourist! Once you settle in, the waiters will take good care of you, the menu and food will remind you,... More

Popped in for an early dinner with my husband and what a welcome! The food was outstanding, the flavours were so fresh and the sauces were to die for! A great find and have already recommended to our friends.

The restaurant says that it offers quiet dinners - while the place was not loud, it was not quiet. It was average and the waiters, who were standing near our table, talked loudly amongst themselves. Our waiter was not kind of crude, not well-trained, and hard to understand. Although we had a reservation and were there in the early part... More

This is an "old school" New York City Italian restaurant. I've enjoyed their pasta dishes as well as risotto. Last visit I had a salmon dish and it was wonderful. The fish was perfectly cooked. Wine list is very nice as well.

We stayed at The Lombardy across the street, and ate lunch here one day. Prices in line with mid-town; but the food was really really good. Ask for the Prix Fix menu if it isn't automatically offered. Pleasant décor and very good service.
