saw this restaurant on the travel channel show on barbecue, so had to try it on recent trip to nyc. ribs were the meatiest i've ever had and came off the bone easily, but the sauce was not distinctive. the other dishes- steamed dumplings, chicken + peanuts were average. the chicken dish was indicated as spicy but wasn't. the service... more

We ate at Pig Heaven on June 17, 2006. The owner was very welcoming and we would have had no problem getting a table at 6:30 even though I had made a reservation beforehand. One of the people in our party did not like Chinese food so she ordered the ribs. She did not like the ribs - I tried... more

Oh, don't underrate THIS place. It has the usual, Chinese-type fare, but also has Cantonese specialties ... incl. roast duck and/or roast chicken ... plus "flattened" shrimp in shells, and even white-cooked pork and shredded pig's ears. The desserts are also innovative, and this is an outstanding member of the Chinese/NYC type of inexpensive meals. more
