A good location in Union Square, popular with local workers, shoppers and tourists. Good staff, a good range of bar food and beer.

We had beer at two of their locations and ate at this one. Food was not spectacular but still good. Atmosphere was good and would probably be even better later in the day (we were there at around 2pm.

Good location, lively atmosphere we got good service from our server even though when he got our drinks mixed up he brought offered another round for free, portions are quite large, by uk standards the calamari that we ordered can easily feed 4 or 5 , food quality was average nothing special.

We stopped in here yesterday while waiting for a book signing at the Barnes and Noble across the square. We had lots of time to kill, so we wanted to take our time and have a relaxing lunch. We ordered our drinks, one of the Heartland Brews and I had the Pitchfork Punch. The punch tasted like a yummy Mai... More

The first Heartland Brewery opened up in my neighborhood (Union Square) many years ago and was an immediate hit. The brewery was right there on the premises and they served some pretty decent food (mostly bar food, burgers etc.). Since then the company has expanded to several locations (Times Square, Empire State Building) and the brewery has unfortunately been relocated... More

Place seemed lively, but with our additional 6 it didn't seem too much of a problem. To be honest, it's like every other brewery popping up everywhere. The pub grub was ok, but nothing special. Our server was good. Obviously, the menu's change depending on location and my friend was upset about it. Oh well.....

I stopped in for a late lunch and sat at the bar. Ordered a fried appetizer, that I can't recall, and a glass of their craft brewed ale. The barkeep was a young lady from Brooklyn and since things were slow she had time to chat. We got to talking about their various brews and she was kind enough to... More
