Best raw food around and so romantic

Raw food can be rough (literally) but Pure does it right in that you barely notice that things aren't cooked. In addition they have the BEST patio in NYC. I dream of someone getting married there. Definitely get the lasagna, it's as good as the server tells you it is. A bit overpriced but raw food... read more

Alas, Pure Food and Wine is no more, and that is a sad, sad shame. It closed over the summer of 2015, apparently due to financial difficulties. When it was open, it served the best food I've ever tasted. All raw vegan. Tastiest items include lasagna, samosas, sangria and chocolate ice cream. My husband considers their tiramisu the best dessert... More

This restaurant is really worth a visit, even if you are not a vegetarian. It was raw food for us for the first time and the food was fantastic, surprising and very delicious (try the Lasagne, the Salads or the Wraps). They also have a decent selection of good wines. The location is very nice and the service was great.... More

Excellent service, good ambiance and delightful food. If I had not known the food was raw (which was my motivation for trying PF&W) then i would have been as delighted with the sophistication, presentation and flavor profile just the same. The mains were satisfying and well balanced and dessert was a treat for the eye as well as for the... More

We were so disappointed. This was to be our special meal in NY as a family and had been warmly recommended. We even got a reminder from menu.com but when we arrived, it was closed due to staff industrial action wanting better wages. We were not the only disappointed guests to turn up and we heard this has happened before.... More

We have a few friends with food allergies and so we found this place to try out while they were in town. We were pleasantly surprised. The patio out back is gorgeous and places that like are hard to find in Manhattan. We each ordered different dishes and then shared them with the table - everything we tried was fantastic.... More

My daughter, who lives in the city, chose this restaurant. My husband was not sure he would like it, but ended up surprised. We were there with a group of 8 celebrating 2 graduations. We ordered 2 salads which were meal sized and we shared them as well as another appetizer of mushrooms. Very tasty and plentiful. I ordered the... More
