As a meat eater, I would not usually choose a raw food restaurant. However, this place surprised me. Everything tasted great, looked great and I felt great afterward. This rare gem of a restaurant can actually make you rethink the way you eat.

this is one restaurant I always try to go to when in NYC- even a non vegetarian would enjoy this- it is quite amazing what the chefs can create- raw, vegan brownie sundae, yummy!

I love vegan and vegetarian food. and I also like the not so "chichy" style. But from time to time, I prefer a vegan restaurant, which doesn't feel like one. The food here is very creative, really delicious and prepared and served with devotion. I can recommend this restaurant to every one, even people who also eat meat. the food... More

We tried many options and they were all amazing! we started with the Fig panna cotta..... and I wanted to SWIM on it! Then we ordered two entrances... the creppe and the roll... both left the lovely flavor on our mouth! then main courses were mezzaluna (that need some extra flavor.. in my personal opinion, but its interesting!) and the... Vegans and raw foodies rejoice! Great atmosphere with delicious food. My carnivore husband loved the tamales and barely spoke a word while he ate. I had the amazing lasagna, but it is very heavy and I couldn't finish it. A friend had the mushroom tacos and practically licked her plate clean. Don't be scared away by the "raw" aspect of... More

This was my first experience at a restaurant that serves vegan, organic and gluten free food and it was awesome. We had a good mix of people in our group with different taste palates but everyone enjoyed the food. I really liked the Curried Vegetables with Sprouted Quinoa Poppadom. The wine selection was very impressive in addition to the dairy... More

You don't have to be a vegan to enjoy what's on the menu. The offerings can satisfy all but the most rapacious carnivore. If the weather's nice, or even near nice, ask to sit out back in the patio. You'll never know you're just steps away from the urban symphony that is Union Square. It's green and quiet and comfortable.... More

If you enjoy vegan raw food then you cannot miss this place. They have a nice outdoor garden you can sit in during the warmer months. We had the taco salad and fresh lemonade. Both very good. Note though that this is a restaurant for people who really enjoy raw diets.

Very creative menu and tasty food. Unfortunately they ran out of the tasting menu item right when we arrived at 9 pm on Saturday night. There were also regular menu items that were not available. The resaurant was nice but I don't think that I will go out of my way to visit again. I am not a vegan or... More

Let's start out by saying that this was my mom's birthday and she recently switched to being raw and vegan food so I went through hell trying to find a nice place where they can accommodate. Pure Food and Wine did not disappoint and after my experience at the restaurant I have been buying books and making raw food myself.... More
