Stopped in for a bite- and to cool off- on a day walking around the East Village. Such a cute, quaint little spot. Started with toasted bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar- delish. Continued to some wine, caprese salad, and some bruschetta with salami- everything was fresh and delicious. Authentic italian.

We booked here because of reviews on trip advisor. We were so pleased. We indicated it was a birthday celebration and on arrival were greeted by the owner with a glass of champagne, asking where we were from and how we found out about the restaurant. The restaurant is on East side of the city and not near any tourist... More

Food was blah. Service weak and rude. Don't accept credit cards. Joke. There are 300 better Italian restaurants in NYC. Got to any one of them instead.

You know an Italian restaurant is great when actual Italians eat there. This is a cozy little spot (be warned: it gets crowded and it's small), but it's awesome. The food is fantastic, the service is friendly, and the ambiance is so relaxed. I love this spot, and it always reminds me of being back in Rome.

After reading the many other reviews, my expectation was very high for Via Della Pace. It is a good restaurant, provides a great value and the food is very good. I don't share the opinion of other reviewers - that isn't to say this is a bad place - it most certainly isn't. I just wouldn't label it like the... More

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant after reading such great things about it on Trip Advisor. We were in the city yesterday for my daughter's 17th birthday. Thought the atmosphere was great and the food was good but we had the worst service so it basically ruined the experience for us. We sat for quite awhile before... More

Hi Lynn, first of all we really apologize for the inconvenience you had last Sunday. Our biggest concern is to give the best service possible and unfortunately in your case we didn't make it. We had a very tough day, our software was running very poorly, we were short of personnel and to complete 2 stoves in the kitchen weren't... More

We loved the atmosphere, the food was fantastic and the wait staff and I believe the owner could not have been nicer. Good pace and felt very comfortable and well cared for. I had the asparagus salad, it was absolutely fabulous, I can still think back to how wonderful it was.

This restaurant is absolutely unique. I had excellent "penne alla Pirata", Straccetti with arugula... and I enjoyed the ambience a lot -warm, friendly. The owner, Giovanni is a rockstar.:)

We had one of the best dinners EVER! The quality of the food is really excellent, every thing was so fresh and delicious. The chef must be definitely Italian. AMAZING CARBONARA! We'll come back soon for sure.

We love this place and if we lived in the neighborhood, we'd be their Norm from Cheers. We've gone for dinner and for drinks at the bar, with a large crowd or just two of us and every visit has been fun and comfortable and real. This is a village local spot that has the feel of a Roman trattoria.... More
