My husband, daughter and I recently returned from 2 weeks in Italy, and were in NYC recently, soon to be our daughter's new home. Found Via Della Pace on Trip, and agree with a lot of the comments. The place is terrific and has lots of character! We ordered 3 antipastas to share: Melanzane alla Parmigiana, VDP Tagliere Di Salumi... More

I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to pasta in that I never think it's worth me ordering; I suppose on some level I think because it's pasta it's something I could cook myself so why bother spending money on it. Obviously I am deluded about that. Anyway, I went here with friends at 6pm on a Monday... More

We met up with friends for dinner before seeing a show. Excellent drink selection, tasty authentic Italian dishes, and a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. If I lived in the East Village, this would be a place I would regularly dine. Great little place!

Are at this fabulous restaurant tonight. Location- small, quaint, not tourist-y. Service- outstanding- servers from Italy and Argentina. Food- outstanding! The bruschetta was amazing! Lobster ravioli was excellent. Wine, dessert and drinks were great. Bad- they only take cash. ATM on site, but not sure why they don't take credit cards. I loved this restaurant and the local atmosphere. Would... More

Not the easiest place to find...but certainly worth the effort to do so. Good, knowledgeable and friendly service and excellent food. A very popular place with the locals that is probably best visited early evening, midweek, to avoid the crowds. Can recommend the lobster ravioli.

Went there with four friends. Tiny local place in the village. The atmosphere and food reminded me of being in Italy. Everyone having a ball including the staff. Service and food was wonderful

Stopped in for a bite- and to cool off- on a day walking around the East Village. Such a cute, quaint little spot. Started with toasted bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar- delish. Continued to some wine, caprese salad, and some bruschetta with salami- everything was fresh and delicious. Authentic italian.

We booked here because of reviews on trip advisor. We were so pleased. We indicated it was a birthday celebration and on arrival were greeted by the owner with a glass of champagne, asking where we were from and how we found out about the restaurant. The restaurant is on East side of the city and not near any tourist... More
