Consistently Good....but

One of our favorites for a number of reasons. Drinks are good, food is consistently good. I don't know if they were taken over by new management but there now is always a gentleman who brings you a piece of delicious bruschetta before the meal. Although this is close to home we had not noticed it until friends told of a good meal there. Some TripAdvisor reviews mention bad service but we decided to try it. The service was fine. A piece of bruschetta brought on arrival was a nice touch. We shared some good fried calamari and a special artichoke ravioli that turned out... More

We had finished up some business nearby at about two in the afternoon and wanted to grab a bite to eat before heading back to Penn Station. The bright red front of Pesce Pasta caught our eye. It looked like a nice and cozy neighborhood place, and through the window we could see one guy sitting at the bar nursing... More

Nice out door sitting...not so nice, claustrophobic inside. Food is good but nothing special. Service is disappointing

We had dinner at this restaurant night. The bartender admitted very early in our interaction that it was his first day working at this job. When we asked him about the Sauvignon blanc he initially stated that they didn't have one even though there was at least one listed on the menu. The wine was listed as $23 as were... More

This used to be my favorite restaurant. (You can see how much I loved it in my January 15, 2015 review.) But I don't know what has happened!! I eat here a few times a week, and the last five or six times service has been horrendous. The first time, we told them in no uncertain terms that my boyfriend... More

I love this restaurant and feel it is an unknown gem! I have never had trouble getting a reservation or a table, even when I have walked in. The atmosphere is pleasant and the wait staff is very nice. But what keeps me coming back is the food. They have a vegetable antipasti plate that I simply adore -- fresh grilled... More

This is in many ways a typical neighborhood Italian restaurant. The food is fine but hardly imaginative. The prices aren't low but this is Manhattan after all. And the atmosphere is warm and friendly. What stops it from getting a satisfactory rating is the terrible service. On the night we were there we waited endlessly for our appetizers and then... More

We had a wonderful 4 day stay in the upper West Side recently. It was our old home in the 60's, so getting back there is always a treat. We were there to attend a 'friends and family' dinner for Tavern on The Green one day prior to it's reopening. Pesce Pasta was our evening out the day after that... More

This was the second time we tried this welcoming neighborhood place and we liked it just as much as the first time we went there. The service is very attentive and the main courses very satisfying. The chicken parmeggiano was delicious, as was the grilled fish platter. The menu does not list it, but they do serve house wine by... More
